Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I try and forget that I own some of this comapny, but remembered today and had a look at results from13/10. I found there is an awful lot of info in the RNS so much I find it hard to make head nor tail. I did see this over decade old company, which I would consider to be therefore established managed sales of about £130,000, not much more than double that I and my wife managed as income, with all the difficulties we had through 2021/20. The pipeline has now increases to around 200, I have already forgotten the figures. But apart from a few waxes and detailing products I cannt see much achieved from old pipeline. There is also in note/info no. 11 in "Amounts owed by subsidiary undertakings" an amount of nearly £7M in 2020 year end but this has gone by 2021. That's a lot to no longer be there, I have not really tried to see where it went and hopefully it went somewhere, anyone any idea?
God, where is this going, why don't I listen to myself?
Well, interesting questions to which I cannot be sure of an answer.
I have had INVP in the long term a few since 2008. Since then and with subsequent top ups I am showing a bit more than 50% return which though not terrible is not startling. It does not include half the divs as I was not including them in calculations till 2015.
There has been times when this was above £6 while I have had and so I have been in far better positions. I have no record of me ever selling any, something I do with most of my holdings at some point, top slicing or similar. Except I did a quick in and out and then in again earlier this year for a small profit.
As to me it's a kind of bank I got originally when BARC etc were all making a mess of things. They still hold an attraction as something a bit different.
I think they have been impacted by the unreliability of South African politics and still are. Whether there will come a time when that is lessened who knows?
They have also hived off N91, which I have consequential shares in, a portion of the value when they last hit £6.
I am still in with more shares than I have ever had in them, I will probably sit tight for a while. Even so I will likely start trimming my position when things get over £4.50 and upwards, maybe before that!
Results soon Pokerchips lets see what they bring!?
Lets hope the gas bill wasn't too much.
We've had 4 new products launched, don't tell anyone what they are or who they're with. That might be good for business and we'd need to wake up!
Not moving that fast, but is slowly getting there I will be happy if can get past mid 30's.
Last two days there have been only sells, OK not a fortune but not encouraging.
We do need some potential investors here mrc!!
I have seen Pokerchips responses and he has good knowledge here and perhaps more faith than me in AGM.
They seem unashamed of their failure to realise practically no pipeline after selling the subscription on them.
They also seem unashamed to publish trading figures that are just appalling.
They do have a special product in graphene and a unique way of adding it. These things should stand them in good stead, if they are really trying and want to succeed rather than get an easy living from investors potential or actual.
Graphene looks like to be good in coatings and concrete and also batteries, all things that have future ingrained.
Interesting use for graphene Pokechips and well posted.
However I cannot find any mention of concrete in AGM website and newsletters, could be there as it is hard tosearch.
Also the technology involved in putting the graphene into the mix may not benefi from the nano particales or platelets, GNP as they are referred to on AGM writes.
Versarien look to be into this HS2 concrete thing, do they have similar tech to GNP, don't know myself and no time to check!
I am still underwhelmed with AGM, despite the recent rise, which has stalled at least for now there has been no concrete news (pun just fell in place, not intended).
AGM seem to be concentrating on coatings and other corrsion protection and detailing, neither that lucratively at the moment.
No pipeline business actually confirmed, over 100 opportunities and none realised in 6 months?
I sold the little tranche I bought at 26.5 for 30.5 and am glad I did though I was uncertain.
Still have my residual which I hope to sell and get money back at 38-40p
.
Not sure we deserve it but maybe just for stupidity, company does for sure.
I bought a few more recently and then sold at a small profit and now last week got a few more, am thinking that might not have been such a good idea.
Still surely if anything at all happens will be good for share price, unless it's worse, god!
I just don't know why I am mucking about with this junk.
Had my first emailed AGM newsletter. Was mainly about Euro's and a little on coatings and car detailing potentials.
Nothing to go on as to where we might be heading in fact no news really at all.
None of the pipeline seems to have been achieved since placing or have I missed something?
Is it to keep the price up so you can get rid of your £30k or so of shares?
Though worth it to the likes of me, is it to someone you can employ a bot.
The price difference you'd guess would be fairly marginal.
Is it legal, ethical you'd think not!
Am I overthinking this, there must be a reason!
But why? They must be programmed to do this for a reason? Is it to increase price, or something else and who would be behind them?
Any suggestions?
totalling less that £350. What does it mean when this sort of thing happens?
Sells not much bigger either!
This continues to disappoint, no sign of any activity, no real interest in buying despite price low.
Is it confirming my unease with this company's revenue and it's directors?
Don't know time will tell, I have written off my investment here, already! I need to move on.
If it comes back will be good, I am holding on to a little in hope that this is a real company.
Oddly VRS down similarly, coincidence or is it graphene related?
Nobody seemed interested in buying at the what have been low prices in the few days/weeks.
So there has been a lot more selling than buying, so there must be spare shares about?
Maybe someone is trying to get it to a price where there will be some takers?
Market's sometimes move in mysterious ways, so who can tell, not me probably!
This is what the dreaded MM's are for anyway, isn't it?
Belief in someone who gives you dip in 10 years doesn't seem like a good strategy to me, either.
Hope and hold has many successes alongside of its many failures for me.
It is also not my only strategy, I do hope and buy, hope and close my eyes too, they are really good.
People have been going on about faith in Tom Cross for more than 10 years now. Most of that time has seen a slow decline in SP. There is frequently talk about the share being able to achieve much higher value. Tom Cross and people like Robert James Dundas Finlay (the name says it all for me...what sort of bloke is he ... stockbroker, investment banker, director of failing businesses) have been enjoying benefits (salaries divs etc) from investments from the likes of many posters. Why would you trust Tom Cross?
I have money here as I once owned RHEP, I should have sold but I haven't in hope not trust.
Thanks for taking the time to post that Pokerchips, I am still thinking on what I may do.
It would be no reflection on your post if I walk away, and I wish you luck whatever.
If I had any belief in this company it must be close to time to average down.
Somebody post something to make me believe, before I give up here entirely!
And don't give Graphene is the naterial of the future, we knew that 10 years.
Don't also give me all that rubbsih about 119 active engagements or whatever it is now.
My only belief at the moment is these people are a bunch of conners or idiots.
