31-Dec There has been a 10% increase in the numbers of cards in circulation, while average transaction values per card for the period was £219, down from the previous monthly average spend per card of £340. Spending levels per card have been volatile over 2H2020, which the Management Team believes is related to the fluctuating Covid lockdown measures. Overall however, the Payment Services business has proved resilient to the implications of Covid containment measures to date, and similarly, the proposed post-Brexit trade deal is not expected to have any material impact on the business.
27-Nov Prepaid Card Products have enjoyed a 20% increase in managed services (cards issued for third parties) with new programs to launch in the New Year, plus an 18% increase in active cards underlined by a 7% growth in average card spend.
30-Oct Growth in Prepaid Card Products has improved from the 2% growth previously reported in August, and similar levels in September, with growth rising to 19% in October. Two managed card programmes have placed further orders for card stock in October which are estimated will translate to a 200% increase in active cards over the coming months. 23-Sep In card payment services, Prepaid Card Products continue to grow slowly with a 2% increase in active customers, however daily spending levels were significantly down at approximately 50% of the daily spending level in July, largely reflected by a significant decrease in the use of cards for cash withdrawals.
11-Aug In card payment services, Prepaid Card Products have been steady with a 2% increase in active customers, with a 50% growth in spend volume across active users.
