By the looks of the it share price I haven’t missed very much today. Regrettably still no news but as they used to say “ no news is good news “. I certainly don’t want the bod to start rushing, I want them to maximise what we are going to get as either special divi or sale, so that we all end in a happy place financially.
More golf tomorrow so that we save me being on here reading some of the rubbish that gets posted.
Have a good evening everyone, Pete
Or however you spell your monicker, not so popyoula after all. I hope everyone has a brilliant weekend. I’ve got gold tomorrow and family bike ride, followed by A lovely roast on Sunday. See you all Monday bright and early.

I bought a load more down at 7p with the intention of trading them once the sp went up a bit. Unfortunately I missed the chance of selling at about 12p. Since then the sp has been rather static so when it got to isa day I transferred them plus others into tax free heaven. Like everyone else hoping and waiting for news which makes life very difficult to find anything new to research, which is probably why we get so much frustration being posted on here. Anyway time for me to get ready to go for an afternoon of golf. How’s your golf coming along Wolfey?

Onassis, a question if I may, when did this happen as I don’t remember it?
Taken from your report below:
The performance of this company really is stunning. In 2019, it returned £150million to shareholders through buybacks and dividends.

Good morning everyone another day where people appear to have things to get off their chests. I have no beef with anyone in particular on here but I have to ask some of you, do you wake up in the morning and think, I feel like venting my spleen at someone so I’ll go onto LSE and moan from the very first word.
I’m still positive on this share, bod and the people that are advising us, we are where we are and there’s nothing we can do about it, so why moan, you can’t control it, it’s not yours to control. We’re all supposed to be grown up intelligent people on here try acting like it.
My car sailed through its mot with a couple of comments on my tyres so I’m well pleased with that. Today I’ll be going to play golf all afternoon and tonight I’m off to see my dying brother in law. So a full day pretty much. I hope everyone enjoys their day.

I think everyone is feeling the same about the lack of news and the sp. However, why assume that it’s the bod that won’t issue news. It could be the NOMAD that won’t sign it off, or the legal teams that are representing us giving advice against issuing anything because of NDAs or the current political situation. It could be the buyer who won’t sign as yet because he has been advised against it until world affairs have turned around a bit. There are so many variables right now that imo it’s probably for the best to remain out of the spotlight. I’d love to be proven wrong, there’s a lot of this world that I haven’t seen yet; I hope someone does give the nod to some positive news which will make us all smile again.

Morning Ian, Les and All, hopefully everyone had a good Easter break and enjoyed the sunshine.
Les, hopefully Angie won’t be on the morphine for too long and is benefiting from the chemo treatment that she’s getting. You know I wish you the best mate, stay as positive as you can.
Ian well done to Becky if her face and lip are now returning to normal, albeit slowly. Best wishes to her.
Car MOT today so I’m hoping it will go straight through without having to have any remedial work carried out.
Have a good day everyone.

Sbrace, I hope you’re not feeling too rough with it, and that recovery will be very quick. At least you’ve got a few days off here that you don’t have to be on the bb unless you really want to. Look after yourself mate.

That’s it until Tuesday now, the bod have got 4 days to carry on with bau assuming of course that they’ve got important work to do with the likes of Piper and everyone else that are going to bring this deal home for us. Will they work over Easter I don’t know, but if they are getting close to being able to release news I would think that they would all have their noses to the grindstone. However, they are all entitled to have time off the same as the rest of us so perhaps there will still be nothing of importance to tell us on Tuesday. Have a very happy Easter everyone. See you bright and early next week.

So yesterday I told you about my dying brother in law being taken into hospital and that he’d turned his back on the doctor and wouldn’t speak to him because he wouldn’t let him go home. After a couple of hours he told the nurse that he was going to the toilet, 30 minutes later he hadn’t returned so they started searching for him. They tried to call his wife who had gone to bed as it was gone 1130 when we had left her. It turns out he’d ran away and the police found him over a couple of miles away near the A47 which would have ultimately got him home. Not bad for a man in his eighties to get that far away from the hospital. They’d searched high and low for him at the hospital, so now he’s got one on one treatment with someone sat by his bed all the time. They think he’ll make a good recovery once his sodium levels have stabilised etc etc. His wife is obviously very concerned that he might try to come home again and the hospital were extremely sorry that they hadn’t acted sooner to try and find him.
Oddly enough when he was seeing one of the consultants he was talking to them about his cancer and he sat there and told her that he knew how it had all started. He said this has all been caused by my time on Christmas Island when he was one of the servicemen who witnessed the bombs being tested. No one will ever admit to it that many deaths were caused as a direct result of those tests, but the consultant looked at him at didn’t say a word.
Tomorrow we’ll probably get more news which I hope will be much better for Vic.
Shed, I think it is possible that he said “ jam tomorrow “ :-)
Sorry just being flippant, I hope it is indeed something positive, but then again perhaps not since there isn’t any movement in the sp.
I hope all is well with you.

So yesterday I got a text from my wife to say that my brother in law who is dying with pancreatic cancer had been taken into hospital in a state of confusion. He couldn’t remember anything, was erratic and doing all sorts of strange things, which is all completely out of character. The palliative care nurse thought it was probably the cancer had spread to his brain and that this would be the beginning of the end for him. Last night we went over to see his wife, who understandably was very distraught and in between sobs told us about Vics behaviour. After we’d been there for about an hour the hospital rang to say that they’d carried out a brain scan and it was all clear and that the cancer had not spread to his brain. Marvellous, more tears but this time those of joy. The doctor asked why he had been brought to hospital in the first place as the only thing that they could find wrong was low sodium levels in his blood. Hopefully they’ll sort that out as it is likely that is what caused his confusion. Vic asked if he could go home, when the doctor told him no he turned his back on him and wouldn’t speak to him. That made us all laugh out loud.
The moral of this story is this, don’t do desktop diagnosis and think that you are correct. Check to see if there is indeed an underlying problem before assuming the worst. That’s what’s going on here with our investment, some people have looked at the sp, seen no news from the bod and come to the conclusion that it’s the worst possible outcome. Do your own tests, read what the bod have said, look at the fundamentals it’s still the same as it ever was.
