my pockets aint as deep as some here, but pires have 29.1m shares in Pluto . Bought for 6p on avearge i recall (including nominal price of YOP that was used). This the pluto price based on value of £96m = c18p (based on 512m shares in circulation)
Old conversation, but for investors rpi is better than cpi. If you care look at how they are calculated and the clear fact rpi has on average been 75bps higher than cpi.
But government are moving to cpi, so in 5 / 10 years any one with an income stream linked to rpi will be sitting pretty

Jwd - mate I'm not trying to be offensive here, but you need to learn to take control of what you do. If you invest don't get anxious, do your research and back yourself and your judgement. Don't look for others to reaffirm you are doing the right thing. Look at a glass half full not half empty. Ps this is one of the best stable businesses about in comparison to many others. There was a big investment a while ago by the GMCA and its pension fund. They don't Invest in high risk assets when it's public sector pensions. Read the signs and the fundamentals.
He is getting cash and shares so will still own part of business via owning part of the buyer.
This will bring new equity opportunity for the business and synergies. Transactions like this happen everyday in M&A / Private Equity world
