The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
Just saying eloro.
I remember posting I'd heard lots of rumours a month or two back.
Not sure what article adikt posting his usual hysteria about.
Just saying what's being said.
Hopefully adikt can repost Tuesdays post ref newmont and the Chinese together making a bid.
If not, I will put it down to adikt being adikt
The funny thing is, just to do a dbw.
I posted a good while back that the talk on the street was that a sale was imminent.
It clearly never happened.
But the talk never went away.
Infact bearing in mind western Australians only talk about afl and mining.
The rumours are now rife that newmont and the Chinese are about to make an offer. Not in competition but together in a joint deal.
Just saying.
1984. another reason the 1p rise is welcome. it's stopped constant sh**te.
a whole day without you feeling the need to impart your knowledge on all things in the universe.
a whole day, without
climate change
electric vehicles
immigration
heat pumps
smart meters
racsm
Margaret thatcher
dgp
wind farms.
do you find it a tad embarrassing 1984, when you look at the incomplete list you daily
post your perceived expertise on.
your clearly an intelligent fella. what do you think people would think if in real life anybody claimed to be the font of all knowledge you try to impress on us..
just take a moment to read the list, and reflect
it's gone up less than a penny, although any rise is good news.
get a f********** grip., 200 hysterical posts. padmaster writing his 1478th ditty. of which 1478 have come to nothing
i'm as pleased as anybody with a rise. but most on here, including you, need a lot more than a penny.
all i'm saying is calm down dear.
Padmaster, another interesting late night post.
Hi.
Sp 9p, = 175 excited posts.
If it ever reaches 20p your nhs will be overwhelmed with elderly solg shareholders needing emergency ambulances to treat blood pressure and heart failure.
And padmasters ditty writing arm will never be the same again.
Adikt. one for you ref a lot going on in the background.
this from years ago, when mm was at the helm.
"I’ve heard through the grapevine that Nick is happy with the progress being made behind the scenes."
4 years ago. a clown on here "heard through the grapevine"
what have they been talking about for at least 4 years.
when you tell us daily things have changed. they most certainly have not on this board
They must have seen some very strong hands and interest for them to hold back all this news.
another from bbg. 6 years ago is telling ,you covgas to bigger off, and that even if you can't believe it, were about to be sold
To prove my point about thinking I opened on 6 year old posts. ref waiting for news.
bbg. They must have seen some very strong hands and interest for them to hold back all this news. years ago.
do I also need to repost 6 year old posts, stating were about to be sold.
I rest my case.
nothings altered, apart from SP collapse.
Reading the posts this morning.
I thought by some mistake, I had opened lse from 6 years ago.
But no, it was yesterday.
Apparently we're waiting for news, and being sold this year.
But like 6 years ago, not a scrap of evidence to support it.
If I recall sp 6 years ago circa 40p, today 8p
6 years ago I believe the news we were awaiting, was trying to track down a French translater.
I also seem to remember bhp offering 35p a share,. Over 4 x today's price.
I think if sold, big If, we would just about scrape 35p.
Bbg suggests anything from £1 to £2.
Let's see who gets nearest.
Adikt, could you please explain your need to become hysterical.
Surely the fact a female mayor assassinated, a chief prosecuter assassinated and the further imposition of a 30 day nationwide curfew.
All happening in the last week or so, in a country we're invested in warants discussion, on a forum board designed to debate our investment, without the need for hysteria.
Please reply, to my post with no deflection, or wishful thinking.
Adikt, deflecting again.
The announcements you harp on about, have nothing to do with my post..
My factual post, is reporting what's still going on in ecuador. Nothing more, nothing less. I'm well aware of the thousands locked up, I'm well aware of the announcements.
I'm also well aware they havnt announced another 30 day curfew because things are now as normal as your opinion leads us to believe
Your posts on the violence, express your opinions.
My posts express the facts,
Pbow. Silly Billy.
Not to sure mayor's are assassinated in Australia, not to sure we're under a 90 day nationwide curfew. Not to sure we need an e military escort to the airport at night. Not to sure there are quite as many murders per capita. Not to sure we've had a presidential candidate assassinated.
Not to sure we have kidnappings and extortion.
And as for other south American countries being the same as Ecuador. I'm not denying it.
I'm simply pointing out, that the likes of adikt and his rose tinted specs, views on the violence, are just that, his views and opinions. I'm just posting facts, facts that don't sit well with his opinions
I read on here posts from the resident soothsayer that only certain areas had unrest and the capital was fine.
Not according to australian government advice.
"Violent crime
Violent crime and theft are common. This includes:
assault
armed robbery
kidnapping
car break-ins
Female travellers are encouraged to take particular caution.
Travellers have reported serious assaults and theft in Quito at:
El Panecillo
La Mariscal
Guapulo
the old town
southern Quito"
Prosecutor investigating TV studio attack in Ecuador shot dead in Guayaquil
Prosecutor César Suárez was also in charge of the Metastasis case involving an Ecuadorian drug lord who allegedly received favorable treatment from judges, prosecutors, police officers and high officials.
Be interested yto hear what the fella who alledgedly lives in ecuador, has to say.
Bearing in mind they just extended the curfew country wide for another 30 days
Still think it's rowdy tourists quady.
Still think it's a storm in a teacup adikt.
"In January alone, Ecuador saw at least 391 violent deaths. Last year was the most violent in the country's modern history, registering 7,872 murders — 43.2 deaths per 100,000 inhabitants. That marks a notable increase over 2020, when the figure was just 7.8 per 100,000 inhabitants.

No 'clear way out':
Jezzoo. I was referring to quady and 1984.
There self importance takes some believing.
You my friend are a breath of fresh air from the self richeous, perceived importance, never wrong, superior clowns who usually try to impress, on this board.
