Modern Water plc
Modern Water has announced its intention to strengthen its position in water monitoring through the unveiling of plans to roll out the latest technologies in data management, analytics and encryption. This will bring its business and suite of water monitoring solutions online. As part of the ecowaterOS consortium and in collaboration with Integumen plc’s (AIM:SKIN) data division, the Company now has the ability to increase remote surveillance capacity for its clients’ contamination monitoring solutions and better protect water systems in a world that must now cope with multiple threats including COVID-19 and related coronaviruses infections. The addition of such a unique capability to an already sophisticated core offering is expected to significantly increase the attraction of Modern Water’s services to governments, utilities, water management companies etc. all desperately seeking real-time protection for their extended communities.
Surveillance data analytics online technologies
Modern Water’s award winning Microtox range is capable of monitoring up to 2,700 contaminants. It uses a built-in knowledge centre, where 30 years of water contamination monitoring domain expertise is available, to be able to forecast when water may be contaminated based on a client’s own data. Resulting from the Company’s collaboration with Integumen, however, the past 8 weeks has also seen Integumen subsidiary Rinocould’s Rinodrive AI software division fully integrate its eCommerce, back-office, CRM, ERP, logistics, data management, aggregation and analysis technologies into Modern Water’s operational systems. Being part of the same integration that allowed Labskin to move from physical equipment to Labskin AI, thereby creating virtual models for skin microbiome, this is expected to achieve similar predictive capabilities for Modern Water’s clients. Collated data that is analysed with built-in artificial intelligence to provide site specific educational insights can over time produce such analytical results when, for example, supported with external information, such as aggregated weather data, flooding data resulting in local combined sewer overflows, etc.
As part of the ecowaterOS consortium, the system is designed to allow data from Microtox units with incorporated communications units to transmit fully encrypted data back to Modern Water’s servers. This will form the core of the pathogen identification system which will be retrofitted to each unit. In the meantime, the system allows sales and support teams at Modern Water to receive alerts when alarms go off or when consumables, like the reagent, are running low.
Meeting the needs of a post-Pandemic environment
Modern Water has implemented significant operational and management change over the past 6 months, while also broadening its international corporate vision. Today’s news anticipates expanding, long-term demand for its core products and increasingly sophisticated range of services. Th
