The Arcadia Clinical Trial is being funded by the UK biomedical charity, St George Street.
The trial is also being funded by the UK Government through the UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) funding agency in addition to private investors.
St George Street is also working with Queen Mary University London who have already completed a range of laboratory work on AZD1656 and its effect on the immune system.
