Because with increased market volatility... IG make more money, it really is as simple as that and that during this period IG are largely unaffected but in a positive way. This is a great buy.

FTSE down 5%, this could easily open down 5 - 10% tomorrow.

If anyone wanted to take this over they would pay the least possible... and the Board would take any deal right now even with 0 return to shareholders.

I disagree, i think that they have maintained decent results amid new regulation and will continue to pay a large dividend until they are able to pay a larger one later on... im bullish

CB will have closed his short out at a very good profit. and probably closed it out at near low on the weekly chart. This doesn't mean he values it higher, he just didn't expect his report to have such a huge impact on the share price. He clearly thought 4 pounds was maybe too low but i guarantee that he doesn't believe 8.50 is too low. You cant say he values it higher then the current rice when you don't know what price he closed a large amount of the short at...

What a huge and costly mistake JP made not opening the raise up to the market so he could raise more capital, he merely raised to pay the salaries instead of bringing any development. The amount raised was no where near enough and has cost the company dearly with continuing uncertainty and a lack of news to break it.

There is only so much they can do in this current state and their salaries are enough to keep them happy, I do hope they cut their salaries in line with weakening financial performance, having got the capital to pay very large salaries.

You cant say that a majority of the doom and gloom isn't justified? it has been an awful month for the company where the BOD has made clear mistakes. Many bullish investors have become frustrated recently and to me this reflects the company more then them, yes there are still positive but once again we are using future tense and there may be light at the end of the tunnel but the tunnel looks very long right now leading to many people bailing.

To be honest we had a few million wiped off the mcap for a raise of 890,000. Clearly JP,s recent interview did not inspire the market and he now to me looks far less confident. Sadly outlook seems to be changing hear and the market still dislikes the very poor financial position we are in.

Cant advance our key projects very far with other current capital. To me it seems like JP is still relying on the 4 million, 890k was far too little.

I have the overheads now need to be reduced, with the cash position we have we can’t afford to pay JP close to 450k dollars like we did last year and that goes to Alan Broome too. Slur my, we understood it was going to cost us but we need to be kept updated with where the money has gone and a production update. Many of us didn’t expect for them to raise such a small amount when they did raise which makes it look to me like we are still relying on the 4million as even with the raise our cash position is very poor.

There is a difference between buying now after a lack of information and an inability to buy redmoor then when the placing took place where it looked like the fund raised were going to be used more quickly and effectively. Sadly we did not raise enough capital.

The truth is is that most people would have taken part in the placing because it was at a discount at the time and the price would've remained higher as long as the funds raised were used well and that enough capital was raised to put the company in a stronger financial position, sml has since not done that leading to t trailing back to 1.4.

You fail to understand that there is a difference between buying in the open market and taking part in a placing...

Alan should buy shares. He holds far less then PW and JP and he earns a good sum of money from sml every year but doesnt seem to put much back in.
