Member Info for NavTech

Anyone have good understanding on Capital Gains Tax on shares. What should be the best way or practice to avoid excessive CGT on shares profit? I think CGT free allowance is £11k and any remaining profit should be taxed by 18% which is a lot? Any advice?

Anyway people we are all in no position to say anything for sure and we are all only speculating as per our little knowledge and mindsets and wishes. There is always gona be someone winning and losing. If I lose I will start the effort again but if I win it will be a positive experience. Lets see.

Agree to an extent that property is small yield but not necessary always safe as things may move very slowly as i have personally made lose in property after prices gone down which may take a long time to even recover and waiting for that long does seem worth to me.

Ohhh by the way reading thru earlier comments it hit me to ask you how and where one can access the short register to see if anyone playing short on the stock? This was something new to me.

Agreed nennyb. Nennyb I look at shares/company as a property investment but obviously as things move a lot quicker in stock market so one needs to be more vigilent but if its a good share then dont panic with daily ups and downs rather focus on a longer term and wider picture. Amagine if company stays in business where the sp can go in next 5 years?

Plus its more logical to think that JP in his first apprearance for IRG/ECHO in GM is not going to destroy his credability. Must be something good coming, may be not straight away but in the long run and I would want to act like an investor not a trader/shorter.

However I do respect kev's opinion.

Hahahahahaha what an interesting battle between yoloman, nennyb and Kev. Whatever kev says even if we believe that for a second still we are in a win win possition coz atleast he admits he's got his short target to .26 and then sp may rise again to make new history. So if it does go down we are ready to load up but if goes up we are even more happy. However if kev's got it wrong he will be facing a long lasting damage. But we will see, not selling anything of mine rather buying more. GLA.

MrMarkyB does it not seem inevitable that the sp will drop big time coz everyone knows that people are holding and specially people with OO and excess shares and if the sp does not drop majority of these people will be making the fortunes and MM wud not want that rather create a panic scene to get everyone to transfer the shares in their hands and after that they will begin the rising game??? Correct my wild imagination?????

Shuhhhh what a hectic hectic day at work. Finally settle down to get an update of the day. I tried to buy a small amount since the beginning of the day and all day the order was their even at a bit higher price but never got executed. Whyyyyy
