As i understand it the auditor is obliged to comment if they feel a lack of cooperation or evasiveness from PPP , i would also imagine that if they have any concerns about their professional reputation they would consider withdrawing their services . We wait !?.

MTM96, Thanks for that input but i don't think anyone here is unaware of the risky nature of gas and oil exploration , and the potential rewards . At first glance your observations seem to lack balance and i for one would be interested to here your views on other aspects of the company , reserves , contract renewals, RFDP and environmental clearances , power plant issues and any other fundamental subjects you may wish to voice an opinion on .

3 out of 5 is better than 1 out of five and moving in the right direction towards 5/5 . A few weeks could see all maintenance finished stew , fingers crossed .

I don't suppose gail can sell gas to a power plant that is not running so would want longer time to recoup losses , can't blame them really . It's the indian gov. that needs to pull its finger out , but as you said kew the final decision is not made yet .

Using arbitration and tribunals is very common in india for settling disputes . I think a lot of indian business wants to avoid making mistakes and avoid showing initiative . If the arbitrators make the decision then no one else is to blame . The directorate general of hydrocarbons deals with most oil and gas field extensions but still has to run every decision past the indian government . They use arbitration to avoid lengthy and costly legal battles .

It seems that gail have applied for and received a court order to prevent the gas from being turned off and to maintain the status quo , presumably to protect their customer ( RGTPP ) and allow the continued running and maintenance of the plant . To my thinking this is a positive move , it demonstrates the importance of our gas to GAIL and adds another bit of support to the PSC extension , the two are intrinsically linked .

Maybe not in a few weeks but i do see some positive movement with the ducks lining up nicely . If you think about it logically it makes perfect sense to arrange the turbine maintenance at the end of the contract in readiness for the great leap forward . I think the government are entitled to an extra %10 if/when the PSC is extended and GAIL are entitled to a make up period at the end of their contract to balance gas received with gas payed for . I imagine there will be a bit of horse trading going on before things get signed off for another ten years or more possibly . Good to see the maintenance progressing and points to an expectation of future use . I think we will do well here but not in a fortnight . I have topped up again today , GLA.
