RE: Lot of fuss over missing coal?30 Jul 2018 10:53
Is everyone assuming the coal was mined in the first place ?
No roadways, rail or water to take it away and as noted it would be fleets of lorries on unsuitable single track roads ... and to where ?
would it not be easier for the mine company to raise an invoice for 100 ton but send just 1 ton, this scenario just needs someone at the Power Station to sign off the requisition and receipt of fresh air.
Therefore no logistical nightmare for the 'thieves ' to take away the coal.
Its very hard to see how the GoB would have been unaware of this.
And perhaps explains why GCM have been held back all these years.... The scam would have had to end. -
Dont forget, it has been the GoB ( Awami party) who have been preventing the passing of the Scheme of Development for no real rational reason, ... despite the prosperity it would bring to a much under developed and poverty stricken region.
Then perhaps the reason has just been discovered. .... 144,000 tonnes of coal invoicing.
And, maybe a massively over inflated Mining bill for employees, equipment and work that never actually took place in the mine.
The BNP ( equally naughty) were at least more receptive to the mine at the outset of the negotiations, and maybe have called it right in their recent press release.
