Four new regional commissioners have been appointed by President Samia Suluhu, one of which is Charles Makongoro Nyerere for Rukwa region. Mr. Nyerere is the son of the first President of Tanzania Julius Nyerere.

They're planning to restart oil&gas exploration in the Eyasi Wembere basin. They drilled a shallow test well last year i think. There's articles on it if you Google it. Now the intriguing thing is, which company will do the drilling?....
