RE: Netlist wins $303m Lawsuit Against Samsung25 Apr 2023 10:43
IIRC, BT was asked about recruitment in the interims, and said that they had been recruiting over the past few months, but now had all the staff they required. They've said in the past that the production of QD's doesn't require a huge labour force, most of the staff are working in R&D.
With regards to the price of QD's, it will depend on quantity, and no idea on Nanoco's pricing as they won't release such data, but have said that sensor dots are priced very differently to display dots, and smaller volumes cost more.
I recall that Nanosys said their XQDEF product could be integrated into a TV for about $12, that's a combined film/diffuser panel with embedded QD's. I believe this is what is being used in many Hisense and TCL QLED sets.
Not sure on the quantity of QD's, perhaps a gram, plus the cost of the diffuser, perhaps fifty cents to a dollar per gram?
Quantum Solutions are one company that openly advertise QD's for sale. The price varies depending on quantity and QD type, but the lowest seems to work out at about $3 a gram. Perhaps that gives some idea?
