Certainly won't be living it large.

When it comes to trial- if it happens- I bear the following in mind.

1. Nanoco won four out of five arguments at the Markman hearing. The fifth was considered to be a draw (Nanoco's language not mine).

2. Nanoco enter the trial with an intact patent portfolio.

3. The previous CEO Michael Edelman stated in one of the webcasts that it was 'easy' to prove what process was used to make the dots in Samsungs's QLED screens.

I don't see any justification for delays- he died last November, so Samsung have had months to find a replacement.

I may be wrong, but i suspect it's RG, and he's probably selling out his remaining 3.79% position in the company.

He's been reducing since February. Has to be a fairly major holder to move the needle this much.

I'm not so sure investors are concerned about short term gains, more that someone like RG will be better informed than most. My nose always starts twitching when RG or LOAM start selling their stock.

I believe so yes. The profit margin on these materials is high though.

£5-20m per annum. these figures solely for the STMicro work I believe.

The lower £5m figure if the first device to market is something more niche like an AR/VR headset, and the higher £20m figure if it is something like a phone handset, where salers volumes are considerably greater.

Some blend between the two figures if the niche product begins to scale quickly. £100m per annum is reportedly possible with the Runcorn facility maxed out and working round the clock.

I thought the timeline for PTAB IPR appeal was about six or seven months. So appeal might be done and dusted by the end of this year or very early 2023.

I beleive Samsung have only begun selling panels to third party OEM's since the launch of QD-OLED. The QLED LCD screens were exclusive to Samsung.

I think if Samsung were at all interested in settling out of court, they'd have done so by now. Perhaps they're willing to take the risk of a large damages claim, it's still small potatoes to them.

With regards to stringing things out for years, assuming a win for Nanoco, then perhaps some further action in Europe would move things along, where infringing goods tend to be barred from the market.

Yesterday was a federal holiday in the US, so the judge may give his decision today, but we may not find out until tomorrow depending on how late any decision is published.

Those dates were the timetable for 2021, prior to the stay until the PTAB IPR concluded.

If Nanoco receive an amount equal to what they would have received had Samsung not done the dirty on them, would that put them in the same position?

I would say nowhere near, as huge harm has been done to the company and its ability to invest in itself over the last nine years since Samsung walked away. Important employees have been lost to competitors and R&D has been wound back in several key areas, life sciences being a good example.

The company will probably never fully recover from that- the ships have burned.

Should that not be reflected in any award?

I think it's a very unusual case though, difficult to find parallels of such blatant dishonesty over an extended period, severely affecting a small company that had developed award winning cutting edge tech and acted in good faith, only to be let down after years of working together. Also the patents are so heavily backed-up after the PTAB. If anything will break a record it could be this case, assuming it makes it to court.

We'll see. Share price got quite a haircut yesterday.
