but there's always some snake- but it would work against them. I wouldnt transfer my isa to anyone who charged fees to move in future

Your isa is like any other savings account. It gives you a total of stock value and cash value. If you want to know when it was paid in and who or where from it will tell you just like any account.

Too bloody true mate. Get tired of trend reversals and other crap. Deepwater horizon, 2008, 2016, Covid - all trend reversals - all no doubt easily predictable in the tea leaves - and no doubt the usual super slick just managed to off load the day before then 'filled their boots' right at the very bottom. ******

The facts are that BP is in a bit of hole for an indefinite time and a bit of an update aint gonna pull it out. The sp performance today is because the big boys understand that. Truth is its all guesses and b*s. Nobody has a f* clue. Nobody knows where covid is going for a start and until we do the sp is following headless chickens. IMO

Not strictly true Bigbb. The information we get is though especially in these days of the algos. Its hard to tell what the f* is going on. Only time its as it used to be is when theres news and a rush of activity.

As always there are ways of looking at things. I bought Fres about Feb at around 570. Had a good ride upto just short of 1300. On the way I was surprised at how the price of gold dropped as the big time charlies it transpired were selling gold to cover short positions on other stocks as they fell. I wasnt sure (as always) that I was doing the right thing selling at around 1300 but I think (hope)I was correct. If there is good news - there has to be some sometime- gold will drop back. I bought physical back in 2008 around 900 p oz. It went up to around 1400 but soon it was back at 700p. Still hold it and wont sell whatever it does - bit of insurance maybe. A vaccination, Brexit deal (positive noises today), boost to travel with airport testing who knows. Like I say its all a gamble. Play it as you see it and hope it plays out.
Still keeping my eye on Fres. Interesting imo esp if/when this covid malarky turns a corner. I think they will get their act sorted - if any one is interested

MrMath - you are well named. Totally agree with your last point. Fits in well with an adage I do agree with 'never fall in love with a stock'. Done it often and lost often when I should have followed you last point and my own advice and Jacked and lived to fight back another day

Never quite agreed with that one even though its an ald adage. If you buy 1 at 4,0, sell out at 2.0 indeed you lose 2.0. But if it continues to fall to 1.0 buy 2 and it then rises back to 4.0 you are up 4.0. Its like all gambling you play the game as you see it. This one is definitely about Stick, Twist or Jack

On a more positive note my wife who is very wary of the virus and is nervy when making short visits to the supermarket is starting to look at flights to Dubai where daughter and grandaughter live. There you have to take a test at the airport and quarantine until results arrive - usually in less than a day. If we are going to have to live with virus as it seems is the case then the two week quarantine nonsense is going to have to be binned. When it is I can see happening then the aviation industry might start being resuscitated. It certainly cant carry on like it is.
