TMT - What kind of Whiggish, canting talk is this
had to google this, though no idea if i am being rude to you or not!!
(intention is not)
I have a tax bill due
Need to buy a car
Family member asked for a loan
Not a newbie but am perceived as one as I do not post enough drivel
For the good of GGP share price if anybody is willing to lend me £20,000 then I will keep my shares and not sell.
I will not lose out and nor will you – it’s for the greater good of for all members
When price goes up and am told now is the correct time to sell I promise to pay you back
If people read the “crap” on this BB and make financial decisions from it then DO NOT PITY THEM
if they have reasons to sell they do not need to justify it
Read the RNS and research factual posts
80p by Xmas!!!!!
lol
One way to see if GGP should keep or sell their 25%, assuming an offer is made, is too look at the American Powerball lottery
Winners of vast sums of money – hundreds of millions of dollars can receive payment in one lump sum or 30 years of annual payments
The one lump sum is a percentage of the full winning amount, the 30 year annuity payment comes closer to the total won – but takes 30 years to get there
What could GH do with 700 million cash NOW or what could he do with 30 million over the next 30 years
Example on numbers – 700 now or 900 over the next 30 years
consider the buying power now or in the future
Both have merit but depends on the way he thinks is best way to build up the company
Way things are going it might take 30 years to find the edge!!
LOL Dip
no need to continue my accountancy open university course now
The Count has taught me all I need to know
Unfortunately you are all wrong and think as too short, or medium, or long planks
want to learn maths - listen to the experts

not sure if mention previously
think it was chartbuster that said 2 rigs were on their way over to Hav
9th got confirmed - whatever happened to the 10th ?
or was the 2 rigs information incorrect and one from elsewhere got deployed
Paddy, as always great work and many thanks for info you provide
any change next time you direct your satellite over Hav to take photos can you zoom over scally to see if a lone rig is there
Due to world events Gold is on the up and up
Rio market cap approx. $100 billion
Newcrest market cap approx. $22 billion
Greatland market cap approx. £325 million (approx. $4 million)
(Approx figures – but you get the picture)
Rio plus Newcrest comes close to BHP
If Rio want to diversify into gold they are not going to explore for it, they will go to someone who has some.
RIO have money and reports have suggested a movement into gold
Newcrest need gold for Telfer to continue
Greatland own land with great potential
As others have said there is a tendency for majors to look after minnow explorers but at the end of the day business is business.
Still think GGP has a lot of control and bodes well for them to make good deals with whoever for their future and for shareholders
Hi,
Long term holder since pre Newmont days – though not relevant and should not be commented on
First and foremost a MASSIVE thank you to Paddy and many many others with the factual information supplied. All you need to make a decision and stay in this is what you can see and what you read in an RNS/presentation.
My take is if Newcrest put in a lowball bid then GH will tell Clive to give Rio a call and see if they want to top the Newcrest offer by a million or so.
Gervaise is 3 steps ahead of us, Clive is his direct link into Rio.
I truly believe he has all the angles covered
How far is Haverion from a newly built processing plant in Winu?
Rio can buy Hav, sit on it until Telfer is forced to shut
Then a Newcrest buyout becomes cheaper and then have gold in the ground and possibly 2 processing plants
Am sure Gervaise, Newcrest & Rio are all great poker players and can see more scenarios then we can ever dream up
I think Newcrest have the most to lose so see no reason to stitch up GGP on this deal
