Thanks to Habsham for pointing this out....
Shaikan Field – Fractured Carbonate, Iraqi Kurdistan
ERCE has evaluated the Shaikan field as Gulf Keystone Petroleum’s (GKP) Reserves and Resources auditors since 2014.
Shaikan is a multi-billion barrel fractured carbonate discovery, with multiple stacked reservoirs in the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous.
It has a range of oil hydrocarbon types, from heavy oil to gas condensates. The hydrocarbons are also sour, with high H2S content.
ERCE’s Competent Persons Report was used for GKP’s initial listing on the London Stock Exchange in 2014, when it made the move from the AIM market to the LSE.
