KazMunayGas (KMG), Kazakhstan's state-owned oil and gas enterprise, addressed reports suggesting a potential sale of a 50% stake in the Atyrau Oil Refinery to China's Sinopec. In a statement released on June 29, KMG explicitly stated that it does not intend to sell a 50% stake in the Atyrau Oil Refinery to Sinopec.

Navy seizes irregular convoy with 6 tons of manganese in AP

The Brazilian Navy seized an irregular convoy made up of a pusher and two ferries that were transporting a load of around 6 tons of manganese from Pará to the municipality of Santana (AP). The seizure took place on Sunday (9) on the Matapi River, in the municipality of Santana.

According to the Amapá Port Authority, among the irregularities found were irregularities that compromised the safety of navigation, such as the lack of dispatches and documentation of an expired vessel.

The Federal Police and Ibama were called to check the loads.

The Navy did not say where the cargo was being taken or its origin.

The resources were guaranteed by Anglo Ferrous Brazil to compensate for damage caused by the collapse of the Santana port terminal

Prosecutor Carolina Pereira de Oliveira, from the Public Ministry of Amapá (MP-AP), operating in the district of Pedra Branca do Amapari, extended for another year the administrative procedure for monitoring the Conduct Adjustment Term (TAC), 2022, established after the damage composition agreement signed in December 2019, in the public civil action records being processed in the Federal Court (JF), in which the business company ANGLO FERROUS BRAZIL SA, as a compensatory measure for possible environmental and social benefits resulting from the collapse of its port terminal in the city of Santana, allocated R$ 10 million to the municipality of Pedra Branca do Amapari, and R$ 7 million to the municipality of Serra do Navio for investment in social projects and public policy actions in the areas of education, culture, health and infrastructure.
