It's a continuous pummeling of our share by the shorters. The amount on loan looks like hitting 100 million shares by the end of this week. Total scumbags operating in a scumbag manner throwing complete bags of scum on here trying to tell us our company isn't worth the investment. Scum!!!
Well I am happier than a pinging metal detector. 30% of one of the biggest gold mine puddings in history, topped with copper flakes and nickel custard. What on Earth is there to worry about? Let the shorters have their fun for the moment and then, sooner or later, our prize will come more sharply into focus.
I've got my dessert spoon ready for when we invite some bankers round for dinner.
There is a significant number of PIs who simply will not behave as they are supposed. The shorting of this share has simply galvanised them to resist any attempt to wrest these shares from their grasp rather than frighten them into selling.
How very inconvenient for the sharks.
Furthermore, they didn't sell at 38p so any derisory offer will simply be rejected. Shaun may be duty-bound to advise shareholders of a takeover bid but only the quick buck merchants would agree to a low bid and the iis are outnumbered in share ownership.
GGP is set to grow and is in very good hands. :)
I and Lady Mush have had the pleasure of meeting Speedy and his wife at the Stag meets. Always upbeat, positive and fun company. We wish Mrs Speedy a recovery that matches the pseudonym and hope to see her at the next meetup!
Well done Panama. Upbeat and cheerful as ever!
This definitely has the smell of someone long-since filtered on here. Why would anyone write such an article unless they have a substantial incentive to do so? And I don't mean the twenty quid fee for writing it. I can think of a few who have tried to bamboozle us with fancy words all laid out with a breath not-taking string of negativity.
Let them smoulder. They are starting to panic. For some reason PIs are not selling. Shorters are having to borrow more and more and sell more and more shares to tamp down the natural rise but one day....they have to buy them back again. No silk-tongued, snake-oil salesman is going to rescue them.
That said it Tig. That absolutely said it. Wonder how they will respond?
Nice find guys! The temperature may have dropped a bit outside but this has definitely got the pot boiling again. I might even enjoy my cuppa this morning!
HAD108AW1 is awaiting assay results but is extended further than those near to it. Why do that unless the drill is moving through a 'hit' zone? This being the case, Havieron is getting fatter!
And well done for arranging this! Always good to tune in to the latest gossip and to remind ourselves how great a company this is to have invested in.
WF..every respect for you mate but I think you may have called this one a bit harshly. Looking back at Deswhite's posting history it has been nothing but positive for GGP. I can imagine a convo being started at a barby and an enthusiastic presentation of our company being made by any one of us. That might be a bit daunting when talking to a super-rich dude.
I think we are all getting a bit twitchy. No wonder, with so many trying our patience on here. :)
The way I look at it, the shorting we have endured on our share has increased several things: Firstly, my awareness of how an exciting prospect can be tamped down using a pretty repulsive financial tool. A broker who takes your trade for a share purchase can then lend those shares (that ought to be safely ringfenced but aren't) to bodies who sell them and push the price down of your share. It's mind boggling isn't it? The broker is T212. The shorters are JPM and others.
Secondly, the number of 'agents' appointed by these bodies. They pop up like Meerkats on here. You knock one down and here comes another, out of another hole. All designed to sew doubt and worry. They remind me also of 'Terminators' who take on the outward appearance of humans, only to reveal their true nature after a few pleasantries which is to kill the enthusiasm for the company.
Thirdly, patience and resilience. They're not getting my shares in what is the most exciting project I have ever come across. I am more aware of that than I was previously. So thank you.
Shouldn't T212 be blocked out on here as a swear word?
I sometimes envisage Shaun and the other team members pouring over a giant map of the Paterson district, similar to the ww2 strategy tables, moving resources, men and machinery around using a croupier-like stick. Just needs a pipe, tash and serious look.
What really gets in my grill is these vermin can only do what they do by BORROWING shares. And who do they borrow them from? The broker who sold the shares to us, or at least to anyone who used T212 as a broker (cue Spit the Dog). Makes me madder than mad!!
Thanks Hannah. Can you or anyone else throw some light on these figures? I don't know what they mean.
*Cost to borrow 1.1 - cheap
Days to cover - 3.7 - high
Utilization 39%*
Also am I to assume that JPM only have just over one third of the shares out on loan?
Damn SaS! More analogies in your post than my golf handicap! You could let the wads of notes flap around in the breeze like Tony Jacklin's gloves.
It is indeed an impossible question scarabbeatle but the answer lies somewhere between believing in the future potential (and resisting the actions of a ruthless market in the meantime), measured against your own financial position and attitude to risk.
I'm as cheesed off as the next investor, watching my investment sink from a 'very comfortable for the rest of my life' amount to only being able to afford lunch in Wetherspoons (manager's special) while I have watched the sp decline.
But just look again at what we have getting ever nearer: The deposit at Havieron gets closer and closer to being tuned into a real product. Bars of gold that would weigh down the back of the coach in THAT scene in The Italian Job. I'm prepared to eat any number of fish and chip specials while awaiting that moment:)
I hadn't thought of that trading4good. Would a broker depress the target price for a share based on the present scurrilous activity buzzing around the trades? Or would they look beyond that? Genuine question here.
Logistics currently being assessed, plotted and considered Tig but Clan Mushroom is expecting to venture into Surrey in late April together with National winnings..
