What sad news. I met him a couple of times and would concur that he was a really warm and pleasant man. It will happen, on this journey, that we will lose some en-route but after you have actually met a fellow investor and shared a glass or two, it's a little more difficult to hear of their passing.
Me neither! Plus, it's enabled me to become better acquainted with the 'cut-price' counter at Morrisons. I've lived off the most unusual foodstuffs over the last three years as a result. Maybe, in three years time I might be ordering home deliveries from Waitrose.
Thank you for posting that Panama and a good reminder to keep the virtual share certificates in the virtual file named 'Keep these shares!' Housed within the virtual filing cabinet, virtually labelled, 'Don't be a fool man! Keep this filing cabinet locked!'
I agree Loggy. We want everyone to pile in and get the sp back up to where it belongs. I took a day motorboating licence two years ago and I want to buy something worth having. At the moment, I've still got the Argos catalogue as a saved tab on my laptop. Not good. Not good at all.
Not a jot 96dct! I'm all in with this share and will await the upturn when the shorters finally leave us alone and get sent to prison. :) However, imagine what we would receive if we sold off a 'Havieron sized" tenement!
Hello Archways. We met at the Stroud function a while back. It is quite a battle you are facing and I cannot even begin to understand how that must feel. There is nothing else to do but fight on and believe you will pull through. We all want to see your posts for a lot longer!!
There have been a number of interviews, quarterly and interim reports, shareholder meetings and speculation on several social media platforms but I have not seen a more concise summary of 'where we are right now' as this latest presentation.
Apart from the obvious timing considerations, it is great reference material and assimilates all of the above into one twenty two page bulletin.
I shall be reading through it again several times, I am sure, so I can explain my investment, in great detail, to disinterested family members.
Very sad news Dip. My condolences.
Replying to your earlier post panama...yes, still dug in here although I did sell a few k with the intention of swapping pension into isa at 6.9p...one hour before it went up 15%. For Gawd's sake! Anyway, the vast bulk of it is still invested, awaiting the moment when things will turn back and beyond the 38p mark. Like you, I kept the holding, didn't sell and have lived off gruel and watery soup since. However, this company is well ordered and the future prospects look fantastic. That's why you and many other investors here have weathered this storm too. We just KNOW it is going to fly sooner or later. I'm still eying up a rib in the harbour here but right now I'm waiting to afford the tow bar. :)
I've noticed that there are a lot more small trades going through of late. Anything from £30 upwards. I see this a a good sign. When the average Joe is willing to put in a few quid, you sense there is a feeling of positive, upward movement in the air. The Newmont/Newcrest potential deal and the price of gold may well have stirred things up again. Good!
Just thought I'd pop in to see what's going on in here. In truth, it's like overhearing only one end of an argument over a telephone. I have absolutely no idea what the drivel is at the other end (and safely contained within the green boxes) but the retorts are priceless! :)
I've just been beachcombing, looking for fishing weights. It's come to this!! I found none but DID find a small butane burner....complete with a full canister! It's a sign I tell you! A sign! We are no longer going to be *****footing around with Panama or reading clues of the back of ***packets with Dodge in the dark! Our route is going to be lit up and free from any blurring. Now, anyone got a few spare billion for Shaun to buy Havieron?
Hi LA! Well it is all very exciting. If nothing else, the amount of speculation around this will keep the message boards active for weeks!
One nice outcome would be for the NCM- issued MRE to suddenly spike as a result of the disclosure requirements. Then, the buyout breaks down and we are left with the devil we know, albeit with egg on their faces.
Ha!
A sad time indeed for our top man, Tig. Many of us have been enriched by his infectious enthusiasm and passion for this business. Beyond that, he organized the first shareholder gathering at The Stag and several more since. He will be in a state of shock right now but we are all thinking about him and hope to see him post again when the time is right.
Thanks LA! The time just seems right to come out of the long grass and focus on the immense possibilities available as a shareholder in this company. SD is totally focused and the management team entirely geared up to deal with the challenges ahead. Ok...uh..and all that kind of stuff. Right...Time for footie :)
Ah GoldenI, this is a double-edged sword indeed. However, we still all love big-hearted Harry. As for our share, I really must shake off my despondency and believe again in what I believed in before. Come on GGP.. just follow the new satellite!
I've been hiding behind the sofa waiting for Harry Kane to take his penalty. Has he taken it yet? I'm starting to get cramp. Moreover, did somebody mention 8p??? Time to re-build the SP to match our ambition.
Of course, when I wrote 3g I meant 3D! Just woke up. What artificial football pitch had I been dreaming about? Haha. I love those displays though. Really help you to visualize what we have.
A wonderful 3g display. I'm kicking myself for not getting to London today. I hope all attendees have a fantastic day.
