I might be the last one buying but got another load at 10.05, will be interesting to see what happens when the US awakes and if we see a bounce, its all speculative I know but its worth a punt. GLA.
OK bought back in all that i sold last week, I know its a punt but its a very cheap punt, its really interesting to see all the PI's selling right now because every single share is being sold at a loss. Every single one. Just one bit of positive news on the share will make it spike, but before I get all the posts saying it might go to 0, I agree, anyway good luck all and do what's right for you, not what being posted here. DYOR.
I think its attracting many new investors speculating on the SP and a good punt.

I will be one of them today, already buying at open, GLA.

Heggy - I did the same, its a brutal day for any PI and so many are just dumping and running, until this wave of PI's are fully out we will continue with choppy trading days. However there were many new PI's today and so we are just rotating out PI's with new PI's. I will do the same tomorrow. As already mentioned the UT at close was weak, but we have had this the last 2 months so nothing new and again i saw asks below bids in the last few minutes of trading, only small numbers but they reflect the reported ask. GLA.
No, the order went through, but it went to auction so registered as such and a sell. It was sitting at 13.4 and that's what it went through as.
Hi Heggy - So looking at the L2 its looking interesting, a big buy order for 750000 is sitting at a few notches down from where we are trading. Looks like the US buyers have woken up. The last 30 minutes might be interesting.

GLA.
Hi Heggy - Good to see that you are doing what's right for you, I too am buying but only small amounts, had 3 trades today and my last one for 14p. Will stop now for today and will await how the rest of the day plays out. I did offload 50% of my holding last week so like all PI's am holding a paper loss, and even my 50% offload was a haircut for me. However we have been here before, the last 2 weeks of January were exactly like this and look what happened the first days of Feb. GLA and DYOR and do what's right for you.
Been a morning as expected, many just dumping their shares, but also many buyers interested in the SP if they can buy below 15. High volume as expected, its just that when the US awakes, we could get a wave of new investors buying in, the speculative investors, and maybe some more dumping, but i doubt it, I think that's done with. Even with just some PI's just dumping that they own the resistance is hard at 13, and then we climbed back a tick or two. I think we will get a late rally before closing slightly up on the 15p opening price. Today is a buying day for me, but tomorrow could be a bit of both, depends if we spike down before close, my buy orders are all in. GLA.
Hi Toffers - With respect I think you are completely wrong, we are trading today in the same range as we were in the second half of January and SD is not a second Wilko. I think we will end up with a wave of new speculative investors at this buy in price and just look at the number of buyers who want this share today. Its a punt for some, but you can't disagree that buying 35,000 for just 5K today is nothing but a good buy in price. I still see a close above open and any good news at this low price will cause the SP to spike as it did with the JD bid news. Anyway you are out of this share so good luck with your investments. GLA.
I am not selling a single share today, only buying, and my first 2 trades have gone through. I wonder what will happen when the US awakes and will be get lots of speculative investors being first time investors into SD and we end up with a rally to the close. I really do expect it will close up from where it opened at 15, can easily see 18 or more at close, so I wonder if we get any RNS feeds today as we are now out of the reporting period. GLA.
I also can't understand all the gloom here, we now are out of the restrictive bid period and are free again, the board can re-build the company with the agreed loan arrangement and the RNS feed on Thursday was not all negative, mainly it binned the current proposal from JD into the rubbish bin and we can all move on. Do others not see that this has been 2 months in the media but we now have new money, new investors, with higher buy-ins than where we are sitting right now. We will have a turbulent week starting Tuesday but all this nonsense regarding delisting and share suspension is so far away from reality. Its a very viable company with just under 4000 employees. Its not a bargain basement high-street retailer, its a retailer that has 50% margins and good IP. I know many PI's panicked and bailed in the last 2 weeks and i am genuine very sorry for anyone who locked in a loss, however there will be even more new money buying the shares on Tuesday and that's how all investments work, PI's rotate. I have no fear at all in Tuesday and i will certainly be both a buyer and a seller and with the remaining shares do some averaging down. Just so much BS in the room right now, can't understand how some users here make any investments as they seem to chop and change their viewpoints weekly, some even seem even daily. Its absolutely true that some will make money as the share price dips or falls, but i am not interested in their investment approach, i am interested in mine, maybe some users here need to remember that. Its your investment that's important, not anyone else's. And as always DYOR.
Heggy - Your message all makes sense, what we need is further details from SD, one way or another, we all have questions but for now if you re-read the RNS feed from Thursday the positive was the financing arrangement, in principle to both increase and to extend. I have no problem at all that in the feeds they said that the bid was not in the interest of the shareholders or stakeholders, so good for them, they have kicked this into the long grass, or better still the rubbish bin. Now we are free from JD and his "build a bid" lock in, so lets await and see what else is out there, its been very constraining on the board and i want them to now focus on rebuilding the senior management team and i want them to hire a good CFO. We might even get another before market open on Tuesday. Right now I am looking at a hold on SD but that does not mean i will not explore averaging down my buy in. The main point to take away and think on before Tuesday is for every seller there is a buyer, so what's their angle and what do they see that we do not ? The SP was in a rally the last week from a dip of 23 and even on Thursday closed only a tick down on the previous day at 28.8. Tuesday will be a very high volume day, and on a volatile day you can make money even if its just averaging down. GLA.
Musk - Re-read all the RNS releases again and you will see its also got some positives, like most PI's i wanted bid news but it could of been mush worse and so all this talk about suspending the shares is utter nonsense and yes it will be a very red day on Tuesday however any positive news coming our way, next week, or the next etc, will spike the shares. If you have been following SD for some time, and now you have sold out, have you thought about using Tuesdays dip ? I certainly have. You can make money on the way up, but at times you can make money on the way down. Tuesday is that day in point. GLA.
Forest34 - Its the problem in all rooms, you get BS being posted all day every day, they always promote other shares in their posts, add no value at all. Just filter them out, my screen is full of green today from all the filtering. GLA.
Hi Toffers - I hope you are well, i am formulating my plan D for Tuesday and have calmed down and now am thinking of what next, so I am feeling better going forward now that we are released from JD and his charade of the bid that never was. But there was also good news in the RNS feeds so i am taking the positive and moving on. I will probably set some buy orders to catch the dip and see how Tuesday plays out. But i could change my mind again before Tuesdays opening. GLA.
What i have learnt this last 2 months is the utter contempt that JD has shown the shareholders and all the individual PI's who are invested in the company. I can imagine a situation coming soon when we are asked to vote on an offer, either indirectly by JD or another, and if another offers, but JD pleads the existing PI's to believe in him, and him alone, I know where my vote is going, he really has burnt a bridge and he needs to mend this quickly, we are not in a good mood right now, even if he says he can counter the offer with his own. I really do hope this happens, i am in the mood for some Machiavellian payback. GLA.
Forest - I have the same feeling that in the cold light of day, and reading the RNS feeds in full, we are in a better position before we entered the 2 month bid period, now its over we have opportunities including new investors with skin in the game, so i too think dumping on Tuesday will be a big mistake but the poisonous postings here, the constant BS from some individual's is getting to the PI's and look how many just sold in panic last week. GLA.
My other thinking right now, after the JD debacle, is that SD needs to hire a new leadership team who's remuneration is locked into the SP. It has time now its sorted its working credit line into next year, and certainly there is a wealth of retail talent out there. Big names have big ego's and this should appeal to those who believe they can turn around even a tanker on a coin. That's certainly a very real option going forward now that most of the failed leadership team is out the door, including the failed CFO. Just image what the SP would do on this news ! We have all spent 2 months only thinking JD and a takeover bid, but now that's well and truly dead, a new team would bring the same result.
Agreed, and what I fear for PI's is that they will just dump at open, i am almost certain that by Tuesday i will of set my buy orders and will catch the dip that we can all see coming, but as a PI its now what plans ? to use this to our advantage and not immediately think that dumping is the only option open to us. Always the adage "act in haste, repent at leisure".
