Thought it might be to do with businness news in Malaysia but I cant see anything really negative there - there was a director from mediaconsult who was done for forging documents but I cant find a connection between him and RHM. Loan to Core Oil & Gas Inc. ("Core") and appointment of two experienced consultants As previously announced, Chalkwell is in discussions to acquire a 33% working interest and a 25% net revenue interest in respect of Block 818L Mustang Island in Kleburg County, Texas (the "Asset") from Core, which would be a reverse take-over under the AIM Rules. On 2nd June 2011 Chalkwell advanced a further £272,674 to Core, funded out of the proceeds of the recent subscription to raise £1m announced on 26 May 2011. This takes the total amount advanced to Core to £1,760,674. The advances are secured on the Asset; the directors of Chalkwell have agreed an increase in the security cap to £2 million (to allow for further advances). Core will use the loan to meet financial obligations under its joint operating agreement with Dominion Resources. In order to assist with the transaction and the re-admission process generally, Chalkwell has appointed Andy Morrison and Frank Moxon as consultants to the Company. If admission proceeds, it is likely that one or both will be appointed to the board. Andy Morrison has spent his entire career in the oil and gas industry. From 1982 until 1999, he worked for Shell in a variety of commercial roles in the UK, Asia and South America. He then worked for BG and subsequently for BOC in new business development and strategic roles. From 2007 until 2010 he was CEO of Xtract Energy plc which is quoted on AIM and which manages a portfolio of projects in oil and gas exploration and production. Frank Moxon is an experienced corporate financier with a specialisation in the resources sector. Before founding his own boutique, Hoyt Moxon, which provides strategic advice to companies principally in the resources sector, he was joint head of the natural resources team at Evolution Securities and, prior to this, head of corporate finance at Williams de Broë. He holds a number of non-executive directorships including Imperial Minerals Plc (Plus quoted) and Cove Energy Plc (AIM quoted).

Total revenue increased by 69 per cent.to RM 44.3m (£8.9m) and profit before tax was RM 9.2m ( £1.83m) representing a 95 per cent. increase. Income from the advertising businesses grew 79 per cent. and represents 95 per cent. of total revenue of the Company. The Malaysian business led the growth with 86 per cent. increase while the China and Hong Kong markets grew by 70 per cent. The growth has been supported by AxChange, the Company’s innovative distribution based business model under which the Company enters into a contract to draw down various lines of inventory and then, as the inventory is sold through RedHot’s distribution network, the proceeds from the sales are used to purchase media space for the same client. This model frees up working capital for clients and assists new entrants into the Malaysian and Chinese markets (where capital controls are still in place) in selling their products. The high rate of growth impacted working capital and the company raised RM3.5m during the year through the issue of preference shares leaving cash balances available for use at the yearend of RM3.2m (£0.8m). The Company reported that the outlook for the current year shows promising growth as it begins to witness a recovery in the media and marketing sectors. It is also experiencing an upturn in advertising expenditure, especially in the Malaysian market where consumer spending on white goods and electrical products, two of its key market segments, is on the rise.

Completion of Placing Vatukoula Gold Mines Plc (AIM: VGM), announces that the Company has completed the placing as announced on 31 May 2011. The Company has raised gross proceeds of £6 million through the issue of 4,800,000 new ordinary shares at a placing price of £1.25 pence per share, representing approximately 5.4% of the enlarged share capital. The contract, which is expected to commence on 31 July 2011, has a value to Serco of around A$210m (approximately £140m) over five years, with two options to extend to a maximum 10-year term. Under the contract we will provide inter-prison transfers, court security services and the operation of court custody centres. Measures in our proposal to ensure the safety and wellbeing of those in our care include: Correctional Practice training for all staff accredited to a nationally recognised standard for the first time on this contract; new operational procedures with robust systems and processes to identify, analyse, manage and mitigate risks; and regular internal and external audits across all locations. We will also introduce the Serco Escort Record System (SERS) to support the safe management of people in custody and ensure transparency of service delivery. This proven technology will achieve comprehensive, dynamic security at all times during the movement of people in custody.

Jeezo ! when the news came out about the dodgey furnaces and shutdowns , I marked this down to 12p in a fit of frustration - I didnt seriously think we would see that - not so sure now though

ST. MODWEN TO DEVELOP £20 MILLION PURPOSE-BUILT FACILITY FOR SIEMENS, LINCOLN St. Modwen (LSE: SMP), the UK's leading regeneration specialist, has signed a £20 million pre-let and development deal for a new 135,000 sq ft facility at Teal Park, Lincoln, with Siemens PLC ("Siemens") on a 12 year lease. This new facility will allow Siemens to consolidate its Lincoln-based gas turbine service business, currently situated at four different sites within the City, into one new, high quality facility at Teal Park. Two of the existing sites are owned by St. Modwen - the 106,000 sq ft Firth Road facility and the 735,000 sq ft main Ruston Works site, extending over 12 and 23 acres, respectively. At Firth Road, the service business will continue to occupy 66,000 sq ft and will vacate the remaining surplus space at the end of 2012. This will be refurbished and upgraded by St. Modwen before being leased to alternative occupiers. Ruston Works will remain fully occupied as Siemens' Turbomachinery business moves into the space vacated by the service business. Outline planning permission for Teal Business Park, together with major upgrades to the A46, was granted earlier this year. A detailed application for Siemens' new BREEAM Excellent facility (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) will now be submitted to North Kesteven District Council. The new home for Siemens' gas turbine service business will occupy 11 acres of Teal Park and will be delivered by St. Modwen. It will comprise initially a 50,000 sq ft office and an 85,000 sq ft state-of-the-art service workshop, together with surplus land to allow for future planned expansion. Building works are expected to start in autumn this year with completion anticipated for December 2012.
