Trading Update Wolfson Microelectronics plc, a leading supplier of mixed-signal semiconductors for consumer electronic products, provides the following update on trading ahead of its interim results to be announced on Monday, 25 July 2011. As a result of lower customer end product sell through and delays in some key customers' new product introductions, Wolfson expects Q2 2011 revenues to be towards the lower end of previous guidance, at around $37m to $39m, and is moderating growth expectations for 2011. Despite the current challenging consumer electronics environment, Wolfson still anticipates an annual revenue growth rate for 2011 over 2010 in the range of 10 to 20 percent, with gross margin for the full year of around 50%. The precise outcome will depend on the timing of key customer product launches and end product sell through. Adoption of Wolfson's audio solutions is accelerating and the number of significant design-ins across existing and new customers continues to increase. Whilst some key 2010 design-ins are translating to revenue later than expected in 2011, Wolfson remains confident that it has the traction with customers to support strong growth into 2012.

ServiceScheduling will be used to schedule client visits by Steritech's consultants to food retail outlets across North America while ServiceStats will provide them with an in-depth view of workforce activity. ServiceOperations SaaS platform Contract Win with HomeServe HomeServe (LSE: HSV), the international home emergency repairs business, already uses ServicePowers' ServiceScheduling software for the optimisation of its workforce and the new two year contract (which includes an option for a further extension for an additional 3 years) extends this licence, and also includes the implementation of the ServiceOperations Software-as-a-Service platform to manage the dispatch of jobs and the payment of claims.

Steven Rudofsky Steven Zachariah Rudofsky, aged 49, began his career working for Marc Rich & Co. AG and Glencore AG where he traded both soft commodities and Ferro Alloys in Rotterdam and Zug. Thereafter he held senior management positions in London at Aletri Limited (Motor Oil Hellas), TransCanada Pipeline Ltd, Credit Agricole CIB and Crown Resources (Alfa Group of Russia). Since 2003, Steven has been focused on property development in Poland through Huntington Polska whilst also consulting on various commodity projects in Europe, North America, Middle East and Asia. Steven holds a BA cum laude in History and International Relations from Clark University and a JD from Emory University. He has been a member of the New York Bar since 1988. Over the past five years, Steven Rudofsky has been, but is no longer, a director of C&P Logistics Iraq Limited, Parkheath Polska sp. z.o.o. (Poland) and Lopo sp. z.o.o. (Poland). Steven is currently a director of Saint George International Polska sp. z.o.o. (Poland), Huntington Polska sp. z.o.o. (Poland), Effectco Limited (Cyprus), Definitive Limited (Cyprus), Talex Polska sp. z.o.o. (Poland) and Adelstein Limited (Cyprus). Nicholas Myerson Nicholas Paul Myerson, aged 26, began his career as part of the corporate finance team at Dubai World, focusing on real estate and infrastructure investments in the Chinese, Indian, and Polish markets. Nicholas was until recently head analyst for Salamanca Capital, a London based private equity group, where he was responsible for the firm's infrastructure, commodity and mining investment portfolios. Nicholas holds a MA in Law from Cambridge University. Nicholas is the son of former D1 Oils plc Chairman, Brian Myerson, who is Executive Chairman of Principle Capital Group whose managed funds hold 27.5% of D1's ordinary shares. However, Nicholas is not a representative of the Principle Capital Group or its managed funds.

D1 Oils plc ("D1" or "the Company") Strategic Update and Board Changes In line with the position stated in November 2009 that D1 required funding in 2011, the Board has held positive discussions in recent weeks with its largest shareholders and a number of potential new investors. During this period the Board also received proposals from Steven Rudofsky and Nicholas Myerson (together the "New Directors", whose biographies are summarised below) which were supported by a number of substantial shareholders. The Board has now concluded extensive discussions with the Company's largest shareholders and also with the New Directors regarding these proposals, and its own business and financing plan, with a view to agreeing a mutually satisfactory way forward for the Company. The Board is pleased to report that agreement has been achieved on a strategy that it, including the New Directors, believes should provide funding to take the Company and its Jatropha-based activities forward, whilst enlarging and strengthening the management team. The Board and the New Directors (together the "Enlarged Board"), having communicated the proposed strategy to all the largest shareholders, understand that holders of a majority of the Company's share capital support the agreed strategy and a targeted fundraising. Indeed the Enlarged Board believes, having consulted with a number of potential investors, that the targeted fundraising can be achieved on acceptable terms. In summary, the Enlarged Board has agreed on the following: · a fundraising of approximately £1.5m to £2.5m (the "Fundraising") should enable D1 to pursue a Jatropha-based business plan and will be pursued by the Company in the near-term; · Steven Rudofsky and Nicholas Myerson were nominated and appointed to the Board as executive directors on 24 June 2011; · The Board will commence immediately a search for an independent non-executive director ("Independent NED"), to be appointed as soon as practically possible; · Barclay Forrest will remain Chairman of the Board, until the earlier of the Fundraising being completed or the Independent NED being appointed to the Board; · Thereafter, Barclay Forrest will leave the Board and the Company and Steven Rudofsky will assume the Executive Chairman position; and · Martin Jarvis will remain on the Board as COO reporting to Steven Rudofsky from 1 July 2011. The Board intends to announce results for the year ended 31 December 2010 on 28 June 2011 and issue the 2010 annual report and accounts to shareholders by 30 June 2011.

The pink ‘un also reports that British Land is planning to raise close to $500m by issuing bonds in the US private placement market in the latest sign of a big UK group diversifying funding sources. The UK’s second-largest property company, which owns property such as Broadgate in the City of London, had aimed to place $200m of bonds with US investors, but the fundraising was increased to about $480m amid robust demand, the Financial Times says.

Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp may have to hand over nearly £12bn to gain full control of BSkyB. Independent shareholders have told the media baron they won’t sell out for less than £11 a share as Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt prepares to rubber-stamp the takeover this week. A deal at that price would value the 21-year-old satellite giant at £19.1bn, leaving News Corp with a bill of £11.7bn for the 61% of Sky it does not already own, the Daily Mail reports

INTERIM RESULTS Beale PLC, the specialist department store operator, announces Interim Results for the 26 weeks ended 30 April 2011. • On 22 May 2011 Beale PLC completed the acquisition of 19 department stores from Anglia Regional Co-operative Society ("ARCS"). • Loss before tax of £1.2 million (2010: profit £0.9 million). The loss included £1.3 million of exceptional costs in connection with the acquisition of 19 department stores. • Gross sales, which include concession sales and VAT, were up 3.3%*. • Revenue at £27.3 million (2010: £26.2 million) increased by 4.0%*.

The only negatives in the results are the performance of the Insight division (which saw a drop in profits last year but should do better this year) and a comment that the firm has recently retendered for one of its top five clients, with the result being awaited. Into the current year and I expect another good performance. While the UK market remains uncertain it is positive that Creston has a large exposure to overseas business, with a quarter of revenues now coming internationally. This should increase this year as the Cooney/Waters business makes a maiden full year contribution. Notably, digital revenues across the business continue to grow strongly, up 19% in the year and now contributing over 40% to total group sales. Shares in Creston have performed well since my initial tip at 107.5p last month. At the current 117.25p we are modestly ahead but I believe that there is a lot more to come. Forecasts for the current year point to earnings of circa 16.5p, putting the shares on a far from demanding multiple of just 7.1 times. There is also the bonus of a 2.5% yield. Given also the strong balance sheet, solid foundations of strong, long-term, international blue chip client relationships and upside to forecasts should any further acquisitions be made, I believe the shares remain undervalued.
