Ian Peacock, Chairman said: "We continue to make good progress with our strategy of focusing on the rapid global expansion of International whilst improving the efficiency of the UK business. "In line with this strategy, International sales grew by 15.2% on top of strong comparatives of +20.3% in the first quarter last year. During the quarter we opened our 900th overseas store. Mothercare and the Early Learning Centre are both seeing strong growth in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. We are further developing our newest market, Latin America, and plan to open stores in Chile for the first time later this year. "In the UK the trading environment remains difficult and competitive, however our property restructure and cost reduction programme are progressing well. As announced in May, we are targeting a more profitable portfolio of circa 266 UK stores by March 2013. The new store format trials have been well received by customers and the development of our new Mothercare web platform is on track. "We are planning cautiously in the UK. However we are well placed to drive the performance of our two brands globally. This strategy will continue to create long term sustainable value for shareholders."

Geoff Wilmot, Chief Executive, commented "The last quarter of the year, which is normally our strongest, ended at the top end of our expectations. The improved trading conditions experienced in FY11 have continued into the current financial year. "The recently announced restructuring and rationalisation, our portfolio of market leading brands and our strengthened management team, will enable Centaur to benefit more rapidly from continuing recovery and from the recent investments in digital services. This will provide a robust platform from which to deliver accelerated revenue growth and margin improvement in the medium term."

Cash flow and balance sheet The Group continues to maintain a strong balance sheet, with high levels of cash generation in the second half of the year. After taking into account the cash outflow related to the FEM acquisition announced in April 2011, the Group will report net cash at 30 June 2011 of approximately £2m. The Group has an existing credit facility with The Royal Bank of Scotland, which has been recently increased from £5m to £8m and extended to October 2012. In addition to providing adequate headroom for the Group's working capital requirements, the increase in the facility will provide additional capacity to finance bolt on acquisitions. The Group expects to publish its full year results on 15 September 2011.

Pre-close trading statement - FY11 profits at top end of expectations Centaur Media plc, the business information and events group, today issues a pre-close trading statement for the financial year ended 30 June 2011. The Group expects to report profits at the top end of the Board's expectations, with reported revenues 14% ahead of the prior year and EBITDA margins increased from 11% to 14%. Underlying FY11 revenues, excluding the impact of acquisitions and adjusting for the phasing of exhibitions, are 10% ahead. Trading Trading in the last two months of the financial year has been strong. Digital advertising revenues continued to show stronger growth than print, with H2 revenues 21% ahead of the same period last year. Print advertising revenues grew by 7% in H2. Total advertising revenues, on both a reported and underlying basis, grew by 14% year on year. Total reported paid for content revenues grew by 7% in H2, with Perfect Information increasing its digital revenues by 8% over the same period. Underlying total paid for content revenues are only marginally up year on year reflecting continuing weakness across the consumer publishing titles. Events revenues continue to show steady growth, with reported H2 revenues 20% ahead of the same period last year. Underlying year on year revenue growth across the events portfolio was 13%. Marketing Week Live reported record visitor numbers and revenues 26% ahead of last year. Forward bookings across the Group's exhibitions portfolio are showing strong growth compared to the same time last year.

Output deal with Amazon's LOVEFiLM delivers upgrade Entertainment One Ltd. (LSE:ETO), the international entertainment group, is pleased to announce that it has signed an exclusive output deal with LOVEFiLM, a subsidiary of Amazon EU SARL and Europe's largest digital subscription service, for the distribution of the Group's UK film releases. The five year agreement is expected to transform eOne's digital revenues. As a result the Group expects its trading performance for the year ending 31st March 2012 and beyond to be significantly ahead of market expectations. The deal places the Group at the forefront of digital rights monetisation in the UK market and provides LOVEFiLM subscribers with exclusive access to the Group's UK titles via their online service. It includes films such as The Twilight Saga: Eclipse and RED as well as forthcoming releases such as Paul WS Anderson's The Three Musketeers in 3D, The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 and George Clooney's The Ides of March.

The Gorgon Project is operated by an Australian subsidiary of Chevron and is a joint venture of the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (approximately 47 per cent), ExxonMobil (25 per cent) and Shell (25 per cent), Osaka Gas (1.25 per cent), Tokyo Gas (one per cent) and Chubu Electric Power (0.417 per cent). The project will develop the Greater Gorgon gas fields, located between 130km and 200km off the northwest coast of Western Australia. The Greater Gorgon gas fields, Australia's largest-known gas resource, contain about 40 trillion cubic feet of gas.

CB&I Kentz JV awarded US$2.3 billion construction contract on Gorgon LNG London, Thursday 14 July 2011 - Kentz Corporation Limited (LSE: KENZ), the holding company of the Kentz Engineering and Construction Group, through its Australian operating unit Kentz Pty Ltd, announces the award of a contract, in joint venture with CB&I, for the mechanical, electrical and instrumentation work on the Gorgon Project on Barrow Island, Western Australia. The contract has been awarded to the CB&I Kentz JV by Chevron Australia and has an estimated value of US$2.3 billion. The contract scope includes the structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation and commissioning support for the construction of three LNG trains, with a total capacity 15 million tonnes per annum, including associated utilities and a domestic gas processing and compression plant. The work will be performed by CBI Kentz JV, an integrated joint venture between CB&I (65 per cent) and Kentz (35 per cent). The contract will commence immediately and is scheduled to be complete in 2015. The contract will provide more than 1,650 jobs for construction personnel in Western Australia. There is potential for this number to grow.
