The same IP survey between the Curretela prospect and the recent Espeto discovery indicates strong geophysical anomalism between the two, a strike length of some 900m.

Excellent - now IFL - let rip !

Second furnace roof successfully installed and switched in Following its Operational Update issued on 8 August 2011, IFL provides the following update to the market regarding its furnace roof upgrade project. Installation of the second furnace roof was completed successfully and the furnace was switched in on the 2nd of September 2011, on time and within budget. The furnace is expected to ramp up to full load by mid-October. The first furnace, which was switched in on the 30th of July 2011 is now operating at full load. Total annualised nameplate capacity for both furnaces is 265,000 tonnes. Following the start-up of the furnaces, the Cogen plant was restarted and seven of the 10 engines are currently operational. The engines are operating at 65% of capacity as output from the plant is proportional to the furnace gas supply. IFL will provide a more detailed update to the market at its Full Year results on Monday 19th September.

RBC Capital Markets downgrades GKN from outperform to sector performer, target price cut from 230p to 200p.

Outlook Cycle demand is under great pressure as our competitors continue aggressive pricing policies in an attempt to maintain market share. We have been very conscious of this changing market and accordingly, working in conjunction with our product development teams and our suppliers, have introduced a number of quality products at competitive price points to counter this threat. In accordance with our previously reported parts and accessories strategy, September will see the launch of a Dawes branded range of parts and accessories which will be showcased at the NEC Cycle Show in Birmingham, together with a number of new cycle ranges. National retailer buying plans continue to be a concern as we enter the second half of the year. There are currently no indicators that this position will improve, although listings for Spring/Summer 2012 have been maintained and are broadly similar to 2011. We remain positive that the licences secured for 2012 and beyond give the greatest potential for success should the retail environment improve. We currently expect that profit before tax for the full year to 31 January 2012 will be behind the prior year but continue with our efforts to maintain an acceptable level of profitability.

Following challenging market conditions, revenues fell 12.5% to 16.7 million in the six months ended 31st July 2011 at Tandem Group (TND). Despite an improvement in gross margins, gifted by favourable currency rates and lower shipping costs, the designer and distributor of sports equipment expects to report a lower half year profit that in the same period in 2010. Tandem plans to increase focus on its flagship brands, Butler and Dawes, in a bid to offer high quality products to its independent and national retail customers. Tandem's shares stayed flat at 98p.

Pub group JD Wetherspoon (JDW) reported pre-tax profits before exceptional items of 66.8 million pounds for the year ended 24th July, down 5.9% against 2010's performance, despite a 7.6% increase in revenue to 1.07 billion pounds. The company attributes this to higher interest charges and warns that the UK pub industry is suffering from a significant tax disadvantage, compared to supermarkets, as well as paying higher VAT than competitors in Ireland and France. The shares declined 18p to 398p.

Admiral (ADM) shares fell 57p to 1,307p after the Ministry of Justice confirmed that it will ban the payment of referral fees in personal injury cases. These fees accounted for around 6% of the group's pre-tax profits from UK car insurance. The car insurance system has been accused of double standards, blaming increased insurance costs on more people looking for compensation for minor injuries, while at the same time selling information to law firms looking for leads.

Brewin Dolphin maintained its "buy" recommendation for WS Atkins (ATK) with a reduced target price of 742p, from 874p. While the broker's stance remains positive, due to expansion opportunities in the Middle East, it expects a slower recovery in the engineering company's end markets than previously thought. Brewin has therefore reduced its 2012 earnings per share forecast by 2% to 78.2p and its 2013 and 2014 forecasts by 6% to 82.2p and 87.5p respectively. Shares in Atkins stayed flat at 550p.

Investment management group Ashmore (ASHM) kept its "buy" rating from Canaccord Genuity, with a target price of 439p. With performance fees already reported to be in the region of 85 million pounds, the broker expects next week's result to show full year pre-tax profits of 241 million pounds, and a dividend payment of 15p per share. Additionally, Canaccord notes that company's imminent elevation to the FTSE 100 Index on 19th September has given the price a boost. The shares descended 9.7p to 410.3p.

Arbuthnot Securities reiterated its "reduce" recommendation for First Quantum (FQM) with a 1,280p target price. A weak second quarter performance by the mining company has led the broker to reduce its forecasts, cutting earnings per share predictions by 10% for 2011 and 5% for 2012 and 2013. Arbuthnot has also added additional risk to its discounted cash flow calculations, valuing the company at 1,286p on a sum of parts valuation. Shares in First Quantum tumbled 67p to 1,395p
