Tony Martin, Chairman of IDS commented: "I am pleased to report that the first six months to September 30th of this year has seen IDS continue to grow driven by further demand for IDS-iSYS. The majority of the sales growth is a direct result of both the increase in placements of IDS-iSYS Systems and the growth in revenue per system. I am pleased to note that many of our larger customer accounts have migrated away from manual vitamin D testing and onto the IDS-iSYS. The impending introduction of competing automated products has coincided with efforts to contain health budgets, particularly in the US. As a result we are beginning to see increasing price pressure, particularly on our larger accounts, and some very recent disruption to equipment ordering patterns which we believe will persist in the short term. Despite these short term pressures the overall prospects for the Group are good. The recurring nature of our revenues will allow us to progress our plans to grow both organically and by acquisition where this is consistent with the Group's stated product strategy."

pluke - yes on the figures detailed today this seems way over down - however I suspect the figures from 30/sept onwards must be pretty bad and that the market are in the know.

The shares in Immunodiagnostic Systems (IDH) tumbled 331p to 455p as the manufacturer of immunoassay kits reported it has experienced increasing price pressure and a disruption in equipment ordering patterns. The fall came despite a 21% rise in revenue to 27.3 million an increase in pre-tax profits to 7.7 million pounds in the six months to 30th September. The group also turned a net debt position of 2.3 million pounds into a net cash position of 3.3 million pounds.

Womenswear brand Jacques Vert (JQV) reported it had experienced a recent weakening trend in sales and margins since its last update at the AGM on 30th September. The company blames the decline on a weakening retail market as well as the recent mild weather which has put a strain on the sales of winter clothing. As a result of this, as well from as one-off costs from the upgrade of IT systems, the board believe pre-tax profits for the year ended April 2012 are likely to be below expectations. The shares slid 1.25p to 12.5p

Engineering group Senior (SNR) has acquired precision machine parts manufacturer Weston EU for 54 million pounds. Primarily focused on aerospace, over 70% of the target's first 10 months revenue came from Airbus based operations. For the year ended 31st December 2010, Weston reported turnover of 42.5 million pounds and pre-tax profits of 4.2 million pounds. Separately, Senior noted that trading conditions remain stable and full year results are expected to be in-line with previous expectations. The shares finished 2.8p ahead at 164.8p.

In order to increase its Ukrainian operations, ITE Group (ITE) has agreed to buy a portfolio of 10 exhibitions from Autoexpo for an undisclosed amount. The gross assets were valued at 50,000 dollars (31,928 pounds) as at 24th November and generated revenue of 3 million dollars (1.9 million pounds) in the 2011 calendar year. The acquisitions will be incorporated into the trade exhibition and conference group's existing Ukrainian subsidiary Premierexpo. ITE shares grew 2.8p to 184.7p

SSE (SSE) received approval from energy regulator Ofgem to commence its 64 million pound low carbon network projects in the Thames Valley and Shetland. The New Thames Valley Vision projects is designed to prepare the local low voltage network for changes that will ensue as new methods of electricity are developed. Meanwhile, the Northern Isles New Energy Solutions venture will increase the use of small scale renewable energy in the region. SSE shares gained 33p to 1,287p.

Credit checker Experian (EXPN) has agreed to buy online identity verifier 192buisness for an undisclosed amount in cash. The target achieved revenues of 11 million dollars (7.1 million pounds) from continuing operations in the year ended 31st March, with gross assets of 9 million dollars (5.8 million ponds). 192business will be incorporated into Experian's existing decision analytics business, providing new fraud prevention products. The shares climbed 23p to 800.5p.

The broker believes that the infrastructure company is continuing its attempts to raise cash ahead of Wednesday's delayed final update for the financial year. Arbuthnot warns of a backdrop of covenant breaches, lack of funding and business losses, following the disposal of its rail and design divisions. Mouchel shares rose 1.5p to 12p.

Seymour Pierce downgraded London & Stamford Property (LSP) from "hold" to "reduce", with a target price of 102p, from 126p. The broker reported that the property developer's revenue growth is largely the result of earlier acquisitions and notes concern over the continuing weak economic environment. Seymour added that the group increased its interim dividend by 16.7% to 3.5p, but believes that it will remain uncovered in the current year. The shares lifted 2.4p to 116.4p.

Enterprise Inns (ETI) retained its "buy" rating from Panmure Gordon, with a target price of 80p. The broker is encouraged by the government's decision to not to increase industry regulations and believes the pub chain can now focus on improving like-for-like EBITDA growth and refinancing its debt. Panmure has high hopes for the firm in the 2012 financial year, with Euro 12 and the London Olympics expected to boost sales. The shares jumped 1.75p to 33.75p.

Daniel Stewart initiated coverage of Alkane Energy (ALK), with a "buy" recommendation and 30p target price. The broker says that the gas extractor is targeting to increase electricity production by 4 megawatts per year, with a goal of 50 megawatts capacity by December 2015. Daniel Stewart adds that the group could benefit from the EU Landfill Directive as its production methods make us of UK food waste, significantly reducing the amount that would go to landfill. Alkane shares dropped 0.625p to 17.625p.
