RE: Rogue market; P/E 33 (!)24 Nov 2017 20:21
FYI RE: Whitbread
Revenue in billions, profits in millions, EPS (pence)
02 Mar 2017 Full Year 3,106 416 231.39 GBP
03 Mar 2016 Full Year 2,922 387 215.66 GBP
26 Feb 2015 Full Year 2,608 366 204.81 GBP
27 Feb 2014 Full Year 2,294 323 182.98 GBP
28 Feb 2013 Full Year 2,030 301 170.89 GBP
Revenue, profits, EPS growth year on year with an amazing balance sheet and EPS of 275p expected for this year giving a current P/E of just 12.7
but wait a minute - it should be a P/E of 33 surely? = 9075p
Just beware - if growth slows the market will wake up and realise the P/E is too high one of these days and the SP will crash. A similar P/E to Whitbread of 13 would put the SP around 300p.
Ocado is another example that was expecting high 'growth' and was as high as 600p. Now 200p.
The market is rogue and corrupt as hell and of course insider trading is rife. FCA do nothing. Shorts carry all the power unfortunately.
