The trading statement last week was as bad as you can get really with EPS said to be down 70-90% in H1 so hopefully all the bad news is out now and we can push on in H2 + Elikhulu. No more skeletons Cobus! As always market will probably tell us on Monday. Far too many leaks and insider dealing is going on everywhere.

An offer would be nice at a 30-40% premium.

We got close to the all time lows posted in 2016 around 212-215p This was trading above 800p as recently as 2014!! NAV is around 460p so trading at HALF book price. Madness. Yielding close to 6% now also.

Looks like the dividend is safe for this year at least so yielding 8% now at these crazy prices and a P/E of just 10.

I think you must ask yourself is National Grid trading on 12x earnings and yielding 6% cheap? Consider its assets, global reach, 'defensive' qualities (not in evidence for a while admittedly). This again makes you wonder why trash like Just Eat and SSPG can trade on ridiculous P/E's ranging from 40-60 but the market 'decides' a P/E of 12 is too high here. #rogue

EPS 14p projected this year come results in April. Current dividend 8.8p More than adequate cover I would say then at 1.6x. Profits would have to fall by ~ 40% to put the dividend in jeopardy.

From memory bought £100K worth at 140p. More than anything shows he is paid too much. Dividend to be maintained/increased is what I am hearing from IR. Even after any drop in profits next year P/E of 8 far too low IMO. Fair SP 12-13x earnings IMO = 160-170p

Saga is a far, far stronger company than AA with �3Bn less debt.

Hard to think now that prior to the update EPS was projected to be close to 2p for 2018-19 with Elikhulu onstream. That would put the P/E at just 4.5 now.

Which would have been needed for any deal. Concentrate on Elikhulu this year which is apparently low cost and adds 25%+ to production.

Zak Mir has strongly tipped this for takeover in 2018. He has a good track record for M&A. SP at 5 year lows. Like the boy who cried wolf one of these days...
