This can never be taken over by BAe due to its £5 billion Long term Partenrship agreement (LTPA) with the government as an INDEPENDENT safety assesor. QQ is used with the MOD to asses such equipment that comes from BAe and other companies - take over is not going to happen within the next few years!

Nothing is even set in stone about this let alone more funding. We haven't agreed to purchase any yet (maybe the 3 test aircraft-i'm not sure). Lets face it - we could see massively reduced numbers of F35 from the original number intended. Saudi Typhoon contracts should be pretty constructive - plus typhoon is still an option for Japan if their F22 endeavours fail (likely).

don't be so quick to thinnk so. Bae systems is in for a very rough ride. Procurement money is drying up - R&D funds will be soon very scarce for the next few years - BAe will still be here don't get me wrong but its no quick fix

can anyonne give me a brief overview of AUG (so i don't have to trawl through the previous posts) so i can make a start on my research - opinions are also valued. GL
