Others will know better than me, but feels like they're fishing for stock now...
Which Roland has already said is something Syn has experience of, is a formality, and won’t delay progress should the deal be done.
Agree DVH, and weirdly I think the “delay” may well owe to Roland fighting our corner in the last knockings of negotiations, when in my experience hardball is played over the finer details. Both parties really want this deal I think, but both will equally want to show their respective stakeholders that they’ve got the best deal they can.
Gordon, I ‘d normally agree except here they issued the GM notice and then a little while later amended it to include a resolution asking for more headroom. If I were a CEO asking for that I’d feel more comfortable doing so if a major milestone I’d said by RNS was expected by end Jan, then early Feb, and then tweeted about, had actually completed.
Well, it’s still early Feb, he’s tweeted to say it’s all on track, and for my money he’ll want this in place and complete before the GM next week.
It’s all because it’s a “difficult jurisdiction” Sandy, or so AP repeatedly trots out….🤔
Things haven’t really changed for me - it’s a pure risk reward play and at these low levels the potential rewards significantly outweigh the risk as long as you only invest what you’re fully prepared to wave goodbye to.
No comfort to those with much higher averages I know.
Yep, underwhelming. But to be honest he pretty much signposted it with comments in the interims and subsequent interviews, so will be interesting to see how much “disappointment” is already priced in.

This makes for an uplifting read.
Yes, it’s from a declared investor in Noble and is full of normal and appropriate caveats, but it sets out the bull case nicely.

We’re expecting our results next week.
Noble put an announcement out on 18/1 saying they expect their lab results “within the next 2 weeks”.
Given we’re in the same basin it seems to me that the results for one could well be of interest to the other, and here it appears results from both could coincide.
I am a geological novice, but I found this abstract (from a paper co authored by people involved with both us and Noble) interesting, particularly given the high levels of hydrogen we found in the top of the basin, and the free gas Noble found.
