Corbyn has mentioned the utilities and even a 'nationalised investment bank' (by using Post Office branches) so I think BT is far down the list.

Looks like dividend is here to stay - I hope to see yesterday's sell-off reversed

Only worry is that net cash flow is down due to large pension deficit payments, combining that with the amount of times Jansen mentions 'investment' needed, I wonder where the cash will come from? Any ideas?

Hopefully this will have good results in the morning giving Jansen a good start to a track-record

However, I wouldn't be surprised if he see a 'kitchen-sinking' which may/may not include a dividend cut.

Despite a kitchen-sinking or not, a dividend cut will be horrible (-10% imho) like that we have seen recently by Centrica. However, the last annual reports said 2019/20 divi is frozen so hopefully that will be subside any downside.

Why don't we just focus on the stock, analysing the fundamentals and getting a feel for market sentiment - that way we can work together to try and understand where the share price is going, sound good?

Thanks Faultsman - If the pensions deficit is being reduced by these 'hybrid calculations' or by having staff 'paid off' to have their Final Salary Pension cancelled then it may help the situation, that's all :)

I'm trying to calculate how much of the problem the pension deficit is and the impact that should be reflected in the share price (to then calculate whether it's under/over valued) so any info from someone at the other end would be invaluable!

Any idea of what's causing the rise? No RNS out?

I wonder if the planned strategy is still going to go ahead? I'm expecting this company to slim down, become lean and then become a potential takeover/merger target. Either Leverage Buy-Out (LBO) or Private Equity (PE) depending on premium offered and what consortium would back a deal. Deutsche Telekom also have interest although they can't buy BT Shares until Spring 2019.

202p seems like a key support - I wonder if it can continue to be upheld? Talktalk fell through a key support (at 110p) and shed 5% (to 105p) immediately - definitely keeping my eye on this one.

Seems like strong support at 110p, was tested yesterday afternoon but having flat-lined since mid-day I look forward to seeing if it can be sustained till market close

My main attention here is due to the BA deal as, if they can supply fuel to someone like BA, then they will multiply instantly. That being said - does anyone know where their focus predominantly is and what % of resources are spent here? i.e. Envia may be top priority, followed by Mississipi and then BA after perhaps?

- Impairement Loss of 34.6mn - Net assets has fallen by over 75% - Leak from last week Seems like rather bleak news to me, I look forward to seeing how the market reacts. The impairment loss is due to a change in accounting methodology, seems like a rookie error unless there has been a change in accounting standards/regulation. GLA
