I also wrote to Centamn IR on this matter on this but never got any reply!

Being spanked down to teach us all a lesson and make Endeavour offer look more attractive!
Personally I think Endeavour should be told to go and swivel until it is wiling to start the bidding at over £2.00!
Even then though Endeavour have no cash in the company coffers, don't pay any dividends and have debt!

This is very opportunistic on the part of Endeavour although I am not surprised it is the only way for Endeavour to get positive cash flow. Centamin should decline!
What some that are enthusiastic about this proposal, including some of the media journalist's seem to be forgetting is just how atrocious the performance of Endeavour has been compared to that of Centamin.
On that basis Centamin is simply more valuable than Endeavour.
Let them go away and give the likes of Barrick a chance.
Even B2Gold would be a better party.

Rebess, if you recall some of us were willing to approach the regulator in the past but many on here either did.nt hae the time,felt they were too old or simply complain but weren't willing to put their head above the parapet , it was a case of "Somebody should do something about this shouldn't you!"

Convenient that they had infiltrated their man into the Centamin camp with access to all the important information!
One must consider if Mark Morcombe during his time as Chief Operating Officer of Centamin was already a willing participant in the Endeaver strategy to get Centamin on the cheap?
Remember that Pardey has allowed the LHDR to self destruct in 2018 and kept quiet about the impending lower grades since 2015!
But one must also ask if the low grades are such a problem then why does Endeavourer seek to take control of Sukari?
Is Endeaver to be trusted by Centamin share holders, possibly not if this is an example of how they operate?

as I have said forever there are far too many shares in circulation which has allowed he Centamin share price to be manipulated by the big CFD holders who don' care a jot about the long term on short term gain!

I have just written to Cey IR and asked them to pass on my thanks to the Centamin board for their wise decision to turn down this derisory offer!

So now the joke offer has been made now how about a sensible one!

Have to agree with the boards decision on this.
Also as Kees Dekker pointed out this this is an opportunist and greatly undervalued bid by Endeaver who are desperate to achieve positive cash flow!
As I have said before there are far too many Centamin shares on issue which makes the company share price much easier to manipulate by using CFD positions such as Endeaver attempted yesterday!
Far too many CEY shares held in big CFD positions by those who are only interested in making a quick profit short term profit without any care for the future long term prospects of the company.

Still the outstanding court case to settle though either by a court verdict or the ratification of Law 32,(Some chance of the latter!).
Also as already pointed out EMRA will have to be consulted about any merger and I doubt they would want to take any less profit share.
As Dasut pointed out if this goes ahead despite what is being claimed the Centamin dividend policy is most likely to be far less generous.

I asked Kees Dekker for his opinion on this offer and he confirms both my own and other forum members initial reservations about this offer

Is it just coincidence that Pardey announces his step down in October ?

I wonder if Centamin share holders would become the poor relations in this merger, sadly that has been my experience in the past of mergers and acquisitions.
Still hopefully not this time, I suppose we shall have to wait and see.
Wonder what EMRA will have to say on this?

Although perhaps a partnership with Endeavor may solve some of the past production problems at Sukari and help to drive forward developing some of the Centamin assets in Egypt and West Africa?

That the type of belief and commitment that that share holders want to see and it also motivates the workforce.
All Pardey did was give the share holders baloney and take his free shares!
