Should work
Hopefully
The opportunities multiply https://www.esi-africa.com/powering-opportunities-partnership-call-for-expressions-of-interest/
The Powering Opportunities Partnership is looking for innovative action-research projects and partnerships that can create and drive productive electricity demand in off-grid and rural areas.
Projects may apply for grants of up to £300,000 (maximum), smaller grant requests are also welcome.
Eligibility is for projects that will be implemented anywhere in sub-Saharan Africa except for South Africa.
The call is sector agnostic, but examples of possible projects are:
An agribusiness with rural supply chains that could benefit from electricity to increase productivity;
Health clinics that are seeking better ways to store medications, vaccines and blood;
E-mobility solutions that are trying to replace petrol and diesel with electric driven transport;
Affordable internet access and low cost computers that can deliver on and off-line educational content for off-grid schools and training institutes
Solar mini-grid companies trying to look for productive ways to utilise power generated and to increase economic viability;
Or any other innovative productive energy solutions suitable for sub-Saharan Africa.
Please visit https://www.carbontrust.com/tea/news/2018/12/tea-pop-peu/ to register your interest to apply and to download the application documents and templates.
About the partnership
The Powering Opportunities Partnership (POP), a component of the UK Department for International Development (DFID)’s wider Transforming Energy Access Programme (https://www.carbontrust.com/tea/) is aimed at exploring how the off-grid sector can better stimulate local jobs and value addition in sub-Saharan Africa.
This POP Productive Energy Use (PEU) call is aimed at providing grant support to action research projects and partnerships that can create and drive productive electricity demand in off-grid and rural areas.
Micro grids perfect fit for sub-Saharan , geopolitics favouring VRFBs
Mrremmy
thanks Endion for sharing the article.
Here’s the link hopefully https://mastermines.global/articles/vanadium-2018-boom-or-bust/
Thanks for sharing Serenus,
Vanadium is really becoming a green metal.
Your recent link inspires me to post this again , https://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2019-01/ku-mo010719.php
Kanazawa University-led researchers create spherical vanadium oxide clusters that can trap and hold carbon dioxide,
the Landholder royalty payments are being paid , so who is entitled to payment is getting it ,
The surrounding area outside the mines boundary is not entitled to royalty payments.
The people outside the boundaries are classed as the local community,
So it’s basically the way the money is shared out to local community. And I’m assured Bushveld are working well with local community, much better than evraz ,
Mrremmy
I can confirm this is vametco
And through a reliable source who is landholder with share in Bushveld is getting royalty payments.
The landholder from which I have contact with said the payments that the older gentleman was talking about must be the community money which is paid out , And he assures me Bushveld is working with the community in the surrounding area , and also added Bushveld Minerals are working with local communities much better than evraz
Thought I’d better clear that up ,
Mrremmy
Thanks Alfacomp.
I was aware of that on the Bushveld perspective site
But new investors maybe are not aware
Also I’m trying to show the development of the technologies into vanadium market . Also open to debate where they are going .
All the best

Could be a Enormous market.

Add smart windows, https://www.theengineer.co.uk/vo2-film-smart-windows/
Then think , what else could benefit from being cooler
I’m thinking solar panels, they are more efficient at lower temperatures.
Now there’s a large market in its self

Group backs Senate move vs substandard steel bars

Worth a read ,
Nice spot Alfacomp,
I was on UET site yesterday and didn’t get round to posting my observations here
I noticed unless I’m mistaken that UET only have one size module, last time I checked I’m sure there was more ,
But I see the benefits of design being that mass production would be far more easier to apply to a one size fits all manufacturing base
Please take a look if not already done so , I’m interested in your thoughts.

Exciting times ahead. Can only wait and see what plays out ,
It good for the vanadium story to be included in the benchmark minerals tour ,
I see Vincent algar was in one recently,
Simon Moores as recognised vanadium and he as been quoted in many a article,
Vincent Algars recent proactive investers video on VRFBs is worth a look if anyone hasn’t seen it yet ,
The Vanitec connection comes through in the video, here’s the link if anyone hasn’t seen it

The reason I posted that Bushvelds Fortune is doing a presentation at benchmark tour is I wondered if there was any significance in Bushveld Minerals retweeting my tweet https://twitter.com/harvrem/status/1067656753578426368?s=21
In the tweet Simon Moores from benchmark was quoted.
