Fortune stated pfs was based on $33 kgv which at the time was reported 7.5 $per lb V2O5 , so at the time the ferro vanadium price would have been about $ 33kgv ,

University of Wisconsin-Madison researchers have made a material that can transition from an electricity-transmitting metal to a nonconducting insulating material without changing its atomic structure.
-They used a material called vanadium dioxide, which is a metal when it's heated and an insulator when it's at room temperature. At high temperatures, the atoms that make up vanadium dioxide are arranged in a regularly repeating pattern that scientists refer to as the rutile phase. When vanadium dioxide cools down to become an insulator, its atoms adopt a different pattern, called monoclinic.

is testing a vanadium redox battery in the La Plana hybrid plant in Spain. Hybrid systems combine different energy producers and storage technologies. The vanadium redox battery has a storage capacity of 400 kWh and increases the share of renewable energy in the electricity that the system feeds.

The redox flow battery makes the hybrid system more flexible

 
Siemens operates the La Plana test facility near the city of Zaragoza. It combines wind turbines and solar modules with power-to-heat, a diesel generator and lithium-ion battery storage. Such facilities are becoming increasingly attractive because they help increase the share of renewable energies in the electricity mix. Siemens Gamesa has been testing hybrid technology for some time and is now supplementing it with the redox flow energy storage. Its output of 120 kW and the 400 kWh storage capacity are flexibly scalable.

Redox flow batteries are based on liquid electrolytes and can be easily scaled by increasing the tank size. The now higher storage capacity of the hybrid system increases the flexibility of the overall system. An intelligent controller coordinates the different energy sources in such a way that the power requirement is covered at all times. He works with algorithms and involves a large number of parameters in real time.

Higher share of renewable energies

The plant always strives for the highest possible share of renewable energies, even when there is little wind and the sky is cloudy. The now higher storage capacity will drive conventional generators with lower loads and increase the share of renewables. This also reduces the cost of electricity generation, regardless of whether the system is currently connected to the power grid or works off-grid.

"With the commissioning of the redox flow technology at our test site in La Plana, we are now active in all relevant storage technologies, including power-to-heat and battery storage systems," says Antonio de la Torre, the technology director of Siemens Gamesa. This outlines the future potential for revenue for Bushveld Minerals, on top of existing ferro-vanadium revenue,
I agree with bbn , this is not about future market for energy storage, this is all about what percentage of new energy requirements Bushveld Minerals can achieve, using vanadium. electrolyte production and vrfb production forms the base to achieve this , but as the name applies (Bushveld Energy) it’s about energy in the form off electric.
Energy storage systems is the tool Bushveld Energy is using , but it’s all about what % off new energy requirements they can achieve with the tool ,
Revenue will come from many angles , being sell, rent , lease , ppa , partnerships, all will be a part of the market share of energy requirement
