Happy, There were rumours that a group were putting together a bid for tullow back in March, Judging by the way it has been held back over the last few months it wouldnt surprise me. Rockrose were apparently first approached in Jan for their TO.
I take it this is what you were referring to at 75p?
Hi Guys , At last it is good to see some reasonable sense on the board. Some of the ******s have left us to get on with it in peace. As Slift said there is a lot to look forward to hopefully starting next week. I would also like to express my thanks to Slift for his research which helps us all. But lets all follow his example and post anything we may come across regarding Tullow and news moving forward. GLA
Morning Guys, MM dragging the price down to collect some shares, 150k shares traded, presume one third are buys, So 100k sells. 1% of the market cap. We dropped 8 % ??
Hi guys, Nothing to worry about here , it is fact that alot funds sell after 25% / 30% profit. Regardless of where the stock is heading . A rule they stick to.
Slift many thanks for your detailed work , Eric Nuttal of Canada makes a very good argument for $100 oil by the end of the year, What would you value Tullow with that price per barrel?
Thanks Munch,
Munch , Have this been in an article anywhere or is it an educated guess? The market condition lately would certainly indicate a good chance of this being the case.
Compared to the POO the sp has not moved up accordingly, I have a feeling this is being held back for a reason. Talk of takeover in March by Samuel and co, Alot of news to come this month , You never know someone may pounce before the deals are made legal. I am no expert , just reading between the lines.
If CNOOC are after Kenya assets which i believe they are in a big way, i would imagine they want the whole 50%, The chinese being on the ball will then do deals with the Gov for new roads , pipelines and all sorts and receive them contracts for other Chinese companies,in order to gain a foothold in East Africa. It could also be why they did not stand in the way of the Total deal, in return Total dont stand in their way in Kenya?? Who knows? Just reading between the lines.
The new ceo needs a chance to get his head around things and clean out some skeletons etc, Kenya assets should be already down to the wire and could drop anytime , Guyana farm out as well. Vote on the 15th and update on the 29th July. Flights are increasing everyday as is the economy, Oil could be 45 to 50 by end of month. I am holding and letting it all play out. Who knows we may even get taken out before September. GLA,
You may be correct, the conversation suggested 60p which was deemed as cheap, a £1 price would be more the figure. If it is in the planning i would imagine we will hear before September, but as i said before i am guessing. Watch this space tho!
My money is on a takeover or a lowball bid coming in, but i must admit if it does not come soon it may not happen. We know Samuel is very interested and i believe Total would be mad not to have a go, just my thoughts , interested to know yours??
