It’s amazing that people on this thread seem to think they’re qualified to determine if a ceo is any good within a few weeks of them being in the role. Shall we give her a chance at least. She may very well be what this firm needs. She wasn’t at the helm in her previous role and it’s a different ball game now.
It is incredible that people on here don’t know basics, dangerous! The company has paid, as of today, a dividend. That means the money is leaving the business bank and getting distributed to shareholders. Therefore, as it no longer has that money, it’s worth that amount less as a company. Subsequently, the shares are reduced by the dividend amount approximately to reflect the updated value of the company as of today. Hope that helps.
Uk blocked the Microsoft deal and euro passed it. My thinking is that if Sunak wants deals from the US he might have to be more accommodating of take overs etc!
Not keen on the sipp as you pay the tax on the gains and the money you put in along the way, once you’ve had your 25% out (I think). Apparently if you don’t take any off it (the sipp) it can be passed on tax free! A million in an Isa has to be the goal, then get a liz truss moment and buy 30 year gov bonds at 8-10% return. Always draw that profit until your gone, then you can pass the whole Isa on tax free up to a mill on ihrt. Wishful thinking!
Imagine the data VF has logged. Every mast every user has ever pinged. A company like this will always carry debt, it’s income stream is like a well oiled machine, every 30 days the money hits. No 90 days to see if you get paid here. It’s a cash cow. Mooo!
I think she has the time as people wont change provider that quick, its hassle and only a small monthly cost compared to most things. The revenue of this business wont change dramatically and increases to customer kicked in as of 1st April. yes the cost of debt service will ultimately rise, but debt has reduced and headcount is going down significantly. The only service I expect from my provider is signal and VF has the best network.
As for 50p next week, its not worth commenting.
I hope the people who beat this share with a stick and spend lots of time on this board, actually have a stake thats worth the time and effort they put in. Please don't tell me your going to make a grand if you plan comes together!
When the ftse hit 5500 on 2 occasions in the last 3 and a bit years, Vodafone didn’t drop below 100p. At that point they had more debt. Revenues have been relatively flat. If you look at it through that lens, the value is there for me.
