I think it was a bad idea to seperate it and make it a whole new division, unlike others. Was just creativity again. Maybe an attempt to stand out - i dont know. But was a bad decision

It wax ok if they were doing research for others, just to cover own research costs. All this alignment with an AIM company etc etc, bad optics in big gun world. Also re buyout - who in gods name wants to risk millions on such paltry returns ? It's a 300-500K punt at best, today

But key is the client outlook for the specific division really. Competitors bombing ahead on investment. Croda will fall back for years

It's very simple. Market has told Croda you cant continue on current path. Volume is also not the answer given price mixes etc

Something must fundamentally change, so, solution is most likely to become a much smaller company , drop down a few indexes, and be more focussed.

Croda margin graphs are very misleading imo

Most funds i think would have had that last bar at 12, and absolute at 1-4

So beauty actives only had 1% growth i Croda's division. Losing market share rapid imo, which will or does mean clients too

Annualise absolute per £1 return , re dividend etc. Hardly anything left in the £. Actually shockingly bad considering sales visibility

CRDA got it all wrong. They are now falling 5-10 years behind, per year, due to competitors being able to fly ahead on investing. They are so vulnerable now, clients will start getting concerned about supply and next contracts will be with others.

They need to cut the cloth according to cash scale, dump worst performing divisions and focus.

Some say 12-18 months, they would need total restructure and further divestments. Currently, this division would have to be the target despite monies spent on china etc

Bit sad to see crda cutting costs and basically cash dry as others invest heavily. Personally i think they should close down this division. At nothing. And focus more on what funds want. Keep matrixyl for bit longer.

For those that have followed my research on Zenakine, it will be no surprise to have confirmation from the Croda top dog yesterday, that the ingredient is flying out of the factory door.

Is that it sunshine? That's all any official update will be? It's worse than i thought. I hope at least some financial muscle will be attached. Hard to analyse 'out the door'. Albeit, maybe best lol

I think some would change mind if regulation hurdles were deemed to get better instead of worse. Only a guess but i assume so
