We just need a break and close of 15p. This is the level at which the new investors bought stock at the recent cash raise. If they continue to remain holders then it will mean they're not just happy to "get their money back"

The 15p equity raise a while back, i hope retail investors dont think "phew i've got my money back" and then sell. I hope they realise that 15p is the price at which they saw value in the company and are willing to see an upside similar to or greater than the downside we have seen over the same time period.

Its a ridiculous conversation. Any trader worth their salt knows technical analysis doesnt work for illiquid stocks

Considering AIM shares are supposed to be for fledgling companies and SMEs, the UK govt should ban short selling for AIM stocks. Its not fair for those firms trying to grow and too open for market manipulation due to the illiquidity of most of the shares

Investing is mainly about the journey rather than the destination. If there was good news in the pipeline the share price would have already moved to reflect this.

Dont forget, its actually an expensive business to have a short in a stock that has no volatility. The shorter has to pay significant margin to borrow the shorted stock for delivery, and those charges will be high if stock isnt available for the borrow. Helikon are a small outfit and I'm sure that with the vol available in bigger caps, they will have better opportunities elsewhere

they cant short fast enough!!

Speedy Hire made a loss in the six months to 30 September 2024 due to challenging market conditions and the ongoing cost of its new strategy.

Tbh you have to understand that none of these small caps will move anywhere until Helikon get out of their trade, and all i can see is that firm increasing their short almost weekly

100% agree, but as with most small cap stocks, its the journey rather than the destination that makes investors in risk assets most of their money

Just looking at the details of the Helikon short, correct me if I'm wrong, but did they start shorting AFC in July 2023 when the price was around 12.5p? Considering the research they could have done on this company over the years, why wait until 12.5p to short the stock unless they saw the complete demise of the company. Seems a very strange short for this type of firm to open?
