Alex Snow, who served as chief executive of Lansdowne until last April, has left the Mayfair-based firm to concentrate on other projects, including an existing venture with Oxford university, according to a person connected to the group.
Mr Snow has been involved with Oxford Sciences Innovation, a vehicle that funds intellectual property commercialisation from the university, since 2015. Lansdowne was one of the cornerstone investors in OSI.
His departure comes after Lansdowne scrapped the role of chief executive in April 2016, which saw Mr Snow shift to focus on developing markets strategy.
A spokesperson for Lansdowne said: “We wish Alex the very best for the future and are very grateful to him for the significant value he delivered during his time at Lansdowne.”
Mr Snow founded the City stockbroker Evolution which he sold to Investec, before joining Lansdowne in 2013 to replace Sir Paul Ruddock as chief executive.
