RE: Trading range (TA ignore at will)25 May 2021 15:49
Ok Wyn, let's generalise a little here as far as "factored in" is concerned; basically, there isn't a single stock out there whose price isn't ahead of "real" news. Take Tesla for instance?
One can place two TA guys in the same room and they will come up with 3 different chart predictions! Up, Down or sideways, but they will not agree amongst themselves. However, one thing is certain, one of them will be right.
As for the fundamentals one can't go wrong..if a company has strong fundamentals, in the end, the result will highly likely be good.
If you placed £10K in the S&P 500, say in Oct 1990 and you left there, without selling, and remember we had three major market crashes after that, tell me how much you would have today? 140,000!
Note:
The dollar had an average inflation rate of 2.36% per year between 1990 and 2020
If one has a good stock and you believe in it..hold! 75% of day traders lose every day.
