A long list of trades around 930am are all showing as 90p sells and 100p buys. Surely the spread was not so wide around this time? What's the explanation?

Short it at your peril. It's common knowledge that a SGC share is worth 0.36 of a NEX share. So, at that ratio using the current NEX sp of 242 that's a SGC so of more like 87p . It's not rocket science to see the two aligning as the deal becomes more real. It's happening- you do the math
