Totally agree with you - I am so hacked off the BOD suggested getting into bed with wagamama. Ridiculous price. I voted against it. I am not buying any additional shares with my own cash, I will swallow tail this issue. I am going to vote down the entire BOD every AGM from now on for putting us in a precarious position. I bed the P/E were all celebrating getting out of the casual dining scene at this point.

Wow even more angry when I read in the prospectus that tee break away fee is £6,000,000. Heads need to roll.

Talk in the telegraph that 2 investors accounting for nearly 2% of ownership will vote against this awful deal. The board of directors will vote for it. They total 0.07%. I think their holding say it all. McCue should be sacked for forwarding this deal. Overpriced crap with too a high risk execution to the coffers. Definitely voting against it with my meagre 1100 shares

Who knows... I certainly will not be voting for this acquisition. Its terribly overpriced and at a time when dining out is in peril. What is the board thinking of? Huge debt and already nearly a third of the share price down since announcement. Nobody seems keen on this deal. CEO needs to give his head a wobble. I'm extremely angry over the proposal.

No that isnt correct - the Dollar payment is exchanged into GBP for you into your nominee account. Except around 4.2 - 4.4p a share depending what happens with the US$ exchange rate.

Next dividend is usually paid in September/October with no precise date as yet. You can find this out on halifax share dealing under 'research' type the EPIC '888' and loads of info for you :)

Hi Paul, in response to your questions a dividend of $0.065 will be paid for each share held upto and including 14th May for payment to be made on 13th June or thereabouts. Shares help on 15th are then known as EX-DIVIDEND and do not hold the right to receive the dividend. The money will be paid into you share nominee account and you can decide what happens to it. I always reinvest the dividend into shares. Might go 50/50 into 888 and BP with mine. You can take the cash (paid into your account that you take funds from), hold the cash on account, pay the money into your bank account after 6 months (why bother?) or as stated before you can reinvest the dividend. My annual divi is 15%. I had hoped for 3 cents minimum. We got more than double that. Not bad at all for us longer holding people. :)

Yes the quarterly review meeting takes place this week and 888 is well into the automatic qualification as of today. Look on www.stockchallenge.co.uk under "ftse ranking" for an approximate league table. We are sitting at 300th largest FTSE company. A far cry when I remember it dropped to £99million m/cap.

'whispers' cost people a lot of money. I remember when 888 were being sniffed at with ladbrokes and money mail 'reported' that a man in a savile suit mentioned an increased bid to 80p a share. What a load of tosh is printed. I dont hold SBT but do hold 888 and I greatful I wasnt burnt on increasing my shareholding based on rumours. Beware potentional SBT 'investors' (speculators!)

There are no figures at the end of this month. Next figures coming are KPI3 roughly Beginning November.

Im staying on here - many pro's but a couple of negative but im prepared to outweigh those in favour of the positives. America needs to cut debt big time - they are under pressure to legalise gambling - gambling has $$$$ written all over it. Need I say more?
