RE: First to market and $15?27 Aug 2020 15:49
I am heavily invested here and have been since May.
I love the positivity of some contributors on here but it’s time for a reality check.
We are about much more that COVID but the increase in the SP has been based on the opportunity created by COVID, not the other developments and partially :
o Belief the test is “gold standard” ? – Despite the speculation, we don’t know if it is or it isn’t.
o Potential we would be first to Market – We now know we aren’t.
o Expectation we would sweep up big contracts with various Governments – That hasn’t happened yet. It may not, as we aren’t first to market and other tests may be more sensitive. Even if we had the opportunity for multiple contracts, it’s highly doubtful we would have the manufacturing capacity to meet global demand, possibly even UK demand.
Personal opinion but I think that if you are invested, it needs to be for the long term. The short term is unlikely to be the £10/£20 SP, promised land some people are dreaming of. Hope I am wrong but I think it makes sense to have realistic expectations.
