Rise, there is no second wave in Spain, or in the UK for that matter.
It's increased testing driving up numbers (similar to the UK as well), and hospitalisation is hardly rising in comparison with the rise in covid positive cases, which by the way are mainly youngsters, similar again to England.
Get a grip and stop the ambulance chasing.
We need to be testing to know what is happening but moreover be cool about this and take control.

Trotters, as I outlined this morning I see it as a strength.
We have recently been informed by the company that they will as of now only do RNSes when the information is significant.
In the light of the development of this company the achievement of the CE mark is not a significant development.
I see that as very positive.
I'm waiting here for much bigger things here than a CE mark achievement on a product.

It is a tiny amount indeed Alan, but it's the message that counts isn't it? Rather chose dilution over cash and having to make the payment instead of refinance. It tells me refinance is not close enough and neither is sales revenue so they're having to preserve cash.

That is what I have been hearing for quite some time. Makes sense to me from a load factor. High load more droplets with viral parts. Low load few droplets with viral load hence led chance of infecting.

New York's state lab Wadsworth analyzed cycle thresholds values in already processed COVID-19 PCR tests and found in July that 794 positive tests were based on a threshold of 40 cycles.

With a cutoff of 35, about half of those tests would no longer qualify as positive. About 70 percent would no longer be judged positive if the cycles were limited to 30.

In Massachusetts, from 85 to 90 percent of people who tested positive in July with a cycle threshold of 40 would have been considered negative if the threshold were 30 cycles, Mina said.

'I would say that none of those people should be contact-traced, not one,' he said.

The Food and Drug Administration said that it does not specify the cycle threshold ranges used to determine who is positive and 'commercial manufacturers and laboratories set their own.'

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said it is examining the use of cycle threshold measures for 'policy decision'.

The CDC said its own calculations suggest its extremely hard to detect a live virus in a sample above a threshold of 33 cycles.

In the news today. Scientists saying that the 37 to 40 typical pcr test cycles may be too much as the tests find such low level of virus load that it is not infectious and likely won't be. Same it finds old/dead material that is not infectious anymore.
Advise seems to be to lower the test cycles so that only high(er) viral load is found.
Does that mean our stellar sensitivity could be less of an advantage going forward?
Will it make our tests cheaper to produce and hence more competitive?

The Netherlands has seen an increase in covid testing from 140,000 two weeks ago to the new record of 164,000 last week. That is a massive 17% increase in testing demand. No idea which tests are used. Same everywhere?
