Remember that NCYT is one of our peers and the higher the valuation of our peers, the more favourably the Covid side of Omega's business will be valued by the market. As a result, although I am not invested I want NCYT to do well as it boost valuations here. ODX's time in the limelight will come and patience will be rewarded here.

That is exactly why Omega is so vital for the UK current, prior to the pandemic, it was a company that has specialized in the development and manufacturing of rapid lateral flow tests. It has years of experience, a distribution network, industry contacts. Many big pharm companies prior to the pandemic didn't even have a diagnostic side to their business and this pandemic has highlighted how neglected, underfunded and undervalued the diagnostic sector was.

Omega raised cash in June to increase capacity of covid tests to 2m tests/week, they would have recognised the scale of demand they would be facing way before us investors would have and IMO they have been a few steps ahead of us every step of the way, so I have full confidence in them.

Not to mention the development of tests for Cryptococcus and TB-LAM, as well as future development of tests using some of the cash generated through the covid-19 tests.

Another possible test to manufacture, that would put us up to 6 possible tests collaborating with the UK-RTC, Mologic and Avacta. Omega is definitely going to max out its future capacity of 2m tests/week. The next question will be about future expansion of manufacturing capacity above this 2m tests/day.

I don’t think the government will politically be able to introduce immunity passports, however I think in the future there will be lots of situations where you will need to prove you do not currently have the virus or prove you have antibodies for the virus and thus not need to be tested. This way, no one is excluded from any aspect of life, however there is convenience for individuals with antibodies not having to be frequently antigen tested.

An example would be a holiday to Spain, on returning to the UK you would be greeted with 3 options:
- 14 day self-isolation
- Prove you don’t have the virus = antigen test
- Prove you have antibodies and thus immunity = proven and verified positive antibody test

@neo2725 I do think the media blackout is very telling and with the Github codebase of the antibody part of the track and trace app, it is clear the abc-19 antibody test will play a big part in the future.

With 17% of Londoners having antibodies to Covid-19, we have a sizable percentage of the population with antibodies and identifying these individuals would have big advantages for the NHS. For example, these individuals wouldn't have to be tested with antigen tests assuming majority are immune, therefore making more tests available to those in need that are still susceptible to Covid-19.

So with 9 million people in London and assuming there are 35000 tests/day available in London, there is currently 1 test/day for every 257 people. However if you were to identify all 17% of people with antibodies and not test them with an antigen test, you would instead have 1 test a day for every 213 people.

Fanastic endorsement of the cd4 test by the WHO, big news for the company, they have worked hard for this.

Does anyone have an idea of the cost of the machine and cost of test for the LamPORE test? The only reference I can find is from The Telegraph: "Experts put the cost of ‘lab in a box’ (LAMP) tests at around €40 to the consumer"

I am astonished the price is down at these levels, but I am more confident now than when we were up at 260p, when the reversal comes here, it will get exciting very quickly here. Interesting from Sir John Bell saying that they are aiming for 5 million tests a day with the majority being latteral flow tests. Everything is lining up nicely.

So much newsflow and academic literature regarding interferons, seems to me that the scientific community are starting to come to the same conclusions that the data from Synairgen's study showed. A patience game here, nothing more.

It is not clear what the hold up for the home use of the AbC-19 Rapid Test is, whether it is the MHRA approval or the governement delaying and there is no guarentee of an RNS tomorrow. But as the situation steadily unfolds over the coming weeks, one thing that is becoming clearer is that there will be huge demand for the AbC-19 test, in professional settings, the home setting and if capacity allows; foregin markets.

This is one test of 5 that Omega has in the pipeline. Every week that goes by, the likelyhood that we will max out our capacity and sell every test we manufacture only increases in likelyhood. The only question going forward is if we can expand the capacity upwards of 2m tests/week.
