Dawn approach1 Jun 2013 20:30
Watched the re run a dozen times. Hindsight is a wonderful thing but that wasn't mannings finest hour. Got no cover and had the horse under restrain for to long. His best chance was to let it go after 2 furlongs and keep the rail. His sire (new approach was twice as bad at settling ) is clearly a better middle distance horse. Dawn approach is still a top horse and one I will back again at a mile. Should anyone who doesn't know horse racing ask why are horses gelded? Then watch dawn approach in the derby. Of course da won't be gelded but horses of far less quality will that behave in that manner! Frankle never attempted the derby because of this. Not stamina . Just a boring bit of info I thought Id share. Gl all
