The latest Investing Matters Podcast with Jean Roche, Co-Manager of Schroder UK Mid Cap Investment Trust has just been released. Listen here.
ART, honestly u are talking rubbish..to say that yield management is not good for restaurants is absurd..if I had a restaurant and I had a choice between Tastecard which is fixed discounts or bigdish, where I the owner can decide the discount level and whether to be live or not, I know which i would choose..ART, I still don't think u understand bigdish and the advantages of yield management
U r ignoring other ways to make money from the app such as premium slots etc. There are lots of potential ways to monetise the app which the company have touched on before... you are also ignoring the fact that restaurants want flexibility and the customers want flexibility and not having to pay a subscription... anyhow it's pointless debating this with you since you obviously don't like the company and I don't understand why you're still commenting about a company you don't like
Absolute b***locks....so ART is effectively telling us restaurants would rather be forced to give a discount via discount card scheme rather than the flexibility of the yield management platform..with the latter restaurants can switch off and switch on at will...he is living in cloud cuckoo land...it also always amuses me that people claiming to be shareholders talk so negatively and falsely negative...ART, if you don't like the company then look at other stocks which you do like.
Hi Ronald, it's all explained in the accounts by the auditors..as the Asian business was no longer the focus of the business going forward those assets were written down to nil hence impairment costs of £1.3 million pounds..plus IPO costs of £423k
I think Sanj said to me that Tasty PLC wanted to roll all their restaurants across to using bigdish but he was temporarily holding it back due to this and that which honestly I can't remember why. It was something to do with getting the timing right ..anyhow, he was very optimistic and it was good that one group, I'm sure it was Tasty but who knows now, keen to use BD. I know I'm not being v helpful but at least trying to give a little feedback
I did attend the event ..a lot of people there but I didn't like the event set up by the brokers..too informal , audience all standing and drinking during the various short presentation and hence too much background noise...Sanj's piece was slick...I did have a chat with him before he stood up...suffice it to say he did leave me with the distinct impression that a lot positive is going on behind the scenes which will produce restaurant numbers...tbh alot of what he told me went in one ear and out the other cuz too much background noise and too much wine in my blood stream lol..anyhow, I left the event very positive...I definitely got the impression that Sanj will deliver...this is his baby and he wants to prove it...before Bookatable and TripAdvisor he had taken start ups to exit .
Groups want centralized systems integrated into their existing systems..Today's agreement will thus make it easier to enable restaurant groups to more effectively roll out BigDish. so i am looking forward to seeing restaurant "groups" sign up to Big Dish. Great News !!! ..it is a step by step process...can't wait to see more groups starting to trial Bigdish over this quarter and then they go nationwide with it in 1Q next year.
