I’m a long term shareholder and I don’t like the shares not being cancelled. Benefits to shareholders are either in dividends or by reducing the number of shares to move the price up.

When is Easter this year, the eggs have been in shops since before Christmas ??

I have a decent sum invested in this company. It would be nice if the board invested more of their own money.....unless of course the intention to use shareholder funds to fund their future bonus/share schemes. Surely ‘my David’ wouldn’t do something like that?

Shareholders funds are being used to buy shares which are not cancelled. No benefit to shareholders.

Shareholders funds could have instead been used to pay another dividend.

Shares in treasury will imo end up being awarded as some form of incentive/bonus scheme to the executive.

The market knows what is happening hence the poor performance of the share price despite what on the face of it is a company whose financials have improved dramatically.

if they cancelled the shares then there might be some positive effect. But they are not. They are using shareholder funds to buy shares that go into treasury. No doubt to be allocated to the directors in the future as some form of bonus/remuneration deal.

Going into treasury rather than being cancelled. So UJO becomes a shareholder and will likely ‘award’ these shares at a later date to the executive. Their school report would read, could do better.
