Offshore South Africa, partner NewAge (operator of the Algoa-Gamtoos Block) has identified a deeper level slope play on the deepwater area, similar to that in evidence at TotalEnergies' Brulpadda gas-condensate discovery in adjoining blocks in the Outeniqua Basin.

Three distinct reservoir sections are thought to contain potential recoverable resources of 1.4 Bboe, comprising a shallow section (470 MMboe), a deeper slope section (231 MMboe) and a basin floor fan section (710 MMboe).

In the second half of last year, the focus switched to preparations for acquiring further 3D seismic over the deepwater prospective area.

However, unresolved environmental issues delayed another survey in adjoining acreage, so the partners agreed to defer the 3D seismic acquisition until these issues could be addressed.

Farmout discussions continue for the block.

Lol...of course there are no guarantees, otherwise Tower's sp would be muliples of current sp, and what makes this such an exciting investment for those not adverse to risk......Game changing news could drop at anytime. Gl ;-)

ps Ripplep, we can only assume you're only lightly researched, otherwise you would be aware that Tower's SA acreage straddles Totalenergies two huge gas discoveries which will be a game changer for SA energy security....Totalenergies have only recently applied for a production and development license , the SA government are very keen to give the go ahead, and so the greenlight would be highly significant for little old Tower's neighbouring acerage .

Benefits of Luiperd-Brulpadda project

South Africa’s indigenous source of natural gas was developed in the 1980s and the Mossgas facility was constructed to beneficiate the gas. The additional requirement of natural gas is currently fulfilled by importing from Mozambique.

The Luiperd-Brulpadda project will reduce South Africa’s reliance on gas imports and serve as an alternative to coal-dominated energy generation. The feedstock from the project will be supplied to PetroSA’s GTL refinery. The refinery is one of the primary revenue generators for PetroSA but has struggled to source the natural gas required to continue its operations and is dependent on expensive condensate imports.

The Luiperd-Brulpadda project will help the refinery in continuing its operations and preventing shutdown. The gas from the project will also be transferred to the state-owned electricity utility Eskom’s 740MW Gourikwa oil-fired power plant through a 90km-long pipeline for power generation, apart from being used in the petrochemicals manufacturing industry.

The discoveries will support in attracting not only new oil and gas companies to the South African oil and gas industry but also investors.

Ps JA stated that he's confident that he can be that funding for Njom-3 will be sorted, although no guarantees of course, but at least he invested £250k in the £1.5m fund raise, and so like me he's put his money where his mouth is.... Gla holders ...Tick Tock!!! ;-)

Lol...the other prospects we're dusters....the funding for Njom-3 has taken an age, 2 years of Covid didn't help, along with delays in approvals and JV partner commitment etc....This time around JA in the process of securing a bank loan for $7m, $4m has already been invested on contract/equipment services etc, which only leaves a balance of $7 to $10m to get Njom-3 drilled. JA has stated that he expects loan / funding to be concluded by end of Q3, so anytime now..... Njom-3 lies in the proven oil producing Rio Del Rey basin in shallow waters offshore Cameroon, and the well site is located on a previous oil discovery and Njom-3 has an 90% Chance of COMMERCIAL success according to Oilfield International, and so more of an appraisal well than exploration well....a very rare opportunity. Multiples of current sp , just on confirmation that funding for Njom-3 offshore Cameroon is sorted....JA reckons 16,000 barrels a day is achievable from the 4 targets all from the same well site....this would generate $100m's per annum which would be truly transformational in anyone's book, and see Tower transform from small cap explorer to Mid Cap producer ...then we have SA and Namibia to follow. Tower's SA acreage straddles the Algoa and Gamtoos basins on the shelf, and the outboard slope edge of the South Outeniqua Basin, where Total has made its Brulpadda and Luiperd discoveries in its Blocks 11B/12B, which are adjacent to Algoa-Gamtoos to the West.... Massive upside potential opportunity for little old Tower if TotalEnergies get the go ahead the planned development and production which will be a game changer for SA's energy security....Tower's acerage lies next door and shares the same geology , features and structures and therefore would obviously be highly attractive to a JV partner, the process of which is already in progress through Tower'sSA partner New Age Energy and their intermediator Envoi. .Gl:-)

South African govt coffers could get over R8bn a year from TotalEnergies field – regulator
Totalenergies and SA government are pushing ahead development and production plans for two major gas discoveries that straddle Tower's SA offshore acerage....shouldn't be too long before Totalenergies or another JV partner shows their hand. Gla ;-)

TotalEnergies' 11B/12B offshore field could make a direct annual contribution of at least R8-billion to South African government finances, the country's petroleum regulator said on Thursday.

"That is not just the overall GDP contribution but is the direct fiscal contribution from the royalties as well as the primary taxes," Phindile Masangane, CE at the Petroleum Agency of South Africa, told delegates at an oil conference.

Rodgetrades.....JA expects funding loan completion by end of this month, he also highlighted the Trident V111 as the drilling rig for Njom-3, which has been on the move for the last week or so. Gl :-)

Cameroon Financing Update

The Company and BGFI Bank Group ("BGFI") are continuing to work on the documentation and final approvals for the loan to Tower Resources Cameroon SA ("TRCSA") towards the financing of the NJOM-3 well, as set out in the Company's announcement of 29 June 2022. This process is currently expected to be complete by the end of September 2022.

The Trident V111 drilling platform JA has in mind for Njom-3, still hasn't settled since it set sail last week. It was sailing West away from NJOM-3 well site location, but is now sailing East again, in the direction of the well site. Gla holders...news from JA on funding/loan completion anytime now!!! :-)
