BP fell less than RDSB thus less upside.
Until the board indicate their dividend intentions you have to assume it's not going to increase 300% to match where it was
I'm very worried going forwards how and when the pub side of things can ever get going profitability with the impact on dividends this'll mean. My guess there might be a share placing to raise funds to take advantage of assets others need to sell...
The real question is what Shell will do with the dividend going forward and the price of oil and demand.
The real attraction of Shell was their high and reliable dividend and that's gone, at least for now
Not helpful
All banks have cancelled their dividends at the strong request of the government.
It will last at least until the end of this year
There will not be any share backs
And I'm pretty sure bonuses will be cut or cancelled too
Why are Marston's up 37% and we're not
The dividend wasn't fully covered before. A divided wasn't due yet anyway and an obvious point, without any or much income and no clear sight of when it'll come in the only sensible thing to do is preserve cash. Remember as well not everyone will pay or be able to pay their rents going forwards
I don't think not surviving was ever on the cards. It's surely just a question of when things get back to relative normality, building back up their cash position and then paying a dividend
What do you expect the company to do?
I rely on the income from these shares but realise a dividend paid later down the line is better than the company going bust and you've lost everything
Might local stores fare better if things really ramp up?
Going green is about improving things not making things worse. Doing everything we do now and more in a sustainable way...because we have to
I expected to find some intelligent conversation on this board. How wrong was I
Many thanks
Thanks
Does anyone know if and when a dividend might be declared?
They should do nothing
The shares are undervalued, it's as simple as that.
Surely even if you have to borrow to buy back loads of shares the investment case is sound. The dividend saved versus interest paid adds up to a nice little wedge...
Based on what?
That's my take on the situation completely. I'd almost go on to say NNR are doing bloody well considering the headwinds
Thanks for your insight
I'm suffering 30% paper losses with this one, the dividend is the only thing keeping me sane...
